Dyno results today...

Well after playing with the On3 setup I had to sell it to help out some family. And they have since payed me back...so I decided to give a local turbo builder a try. He builds new tubular headers that face forward...makes the hotside piping very minimal! Running a 70mm Master Power with a .81 housing...here is what she made today on 20lbs of boost and 14* of timing on pump gas. I have a Snow 675 nozzle spraying and I think I need another!

Here are a couple dyno vids...had to sit in the trunk on the last one because the car was spinning the tires on the dyno without the load cell on

Thanks guys! Yea stock 3650 for now...just worried about the 10 spline input really. Running a FRPP 11" Terminator clutch...she grips like crazy! Tires don't...but the clutch does

awesome, makes me feel a little more comfortable to hear that the stock tranny can handle what your throwing at it. even though mine is the t-45 im keeping my fingers crossed that it will hold up like your 3650 is. I was told it was getting traction is whats going to start breaking things at those power levels, and sense your clearly not getting any at all you should be ok..........."should be"

Between 3600 to 4600 rpms you gain about 300 Ftlbs.

Ya...my tires aren't liking it too much at all. Gonna try a set of 3.27's to see if that will help in the low gears. Plus my set of M/T's should be on the car this Friday.

Nice!!!!!!!!

Whats the fuel system setup now?

Have been contemplating parting my car out and doing something else....but everytime I see somebody throw up some turbo numbers, it makes me want to do what I wanted to do since I bought the car!

I only asked to see how built it is but NO way in hell is that stock. 4.6s are weaker than 5.0s.

Fuel system consists of 60# squirters and Cobra tank and pump setup with a BAP. However if I had to do it all over again....I'd would have gone return style! I'm at almost 100% DC now with this setup...but you live and learn! Thanks for all the compliments guys...I'm real proud of her. Gonna try going to 3.27's and see how see responds on the street. Nice work Ryan. Who says you need an aftermarket intake with boost?

PI intakes FTW.......

Hello,

Congratulations on an absolutely sick build. With that kind of power, are you close to maxing out the BAP/03 pump/60lb injector combo? I was curious what sort of tranny/clutch setup are you using.

Man that motor is a dog, no power anywhere

I can't wait to see what an Edelbrock intake swap does to it, I am starting to really believe most turbo guys with Edelbrock intakes are over camming their combos. This car should finally tell us the truth.

BTW Ryan, you might need some more fuel with the intake swap

Thanks guys! It hasn't been easy but the payoff is well worth it! The pumps were at about 96% DC at 672 WITH a 8ga wire upgrade! So they are out of steam...period! Car has 3.73's currently. So I'm really leaning to 3.27's...I've got a free set sitting on my bench ready to go in. So I figure what the hey...it's worth a shot. Cluch info is up by the top. I have some pics of the new turbo setup...but need to take better ones. So I'll get those posted soon.

I've been thinking of the GT pumps with a dual FPDM setup...my buddies Cobra with a 2.3 Whipple made 614 yesterday with that exact fuel setup and his pumps were only at 76%!!! And thats on a supercharged car...imagine how far that would go on a turbo car! Nick has been gracious enough to let me "try" out a Edelbrock intake with a 6061.com plenum and see how this beast responds! Kinda worried about low end loss...hence the "try" part But I'll try anything atleast once....and yea I'm gonna have to find some more fuel soon. Otherwise that Edelbrock intake won't do me a whole lot of good!

That's awesome! The hp is falling after 5500 rpm. You think the edelbrock will allow it to make hp past 5500rpm?
My duty cycle was 14% more on the street than dyno. You should go return style!!

Some of the turbo 03 Cobra guys on modularfords have gotten REAL far on a modded FPDM, and GT pump. My buddy had a return style setup on his TT 03 Cobra, made 804 rwhp, but he drove the car alot, and the Aeromotive pump burned up, so he went back to returnless. Cant remember the whole setup he did though.

Previous owner of my car said it was out of fuel system at 647 on race gas tune, and it's a blower car with the same fuel system, so thats probably about right.

The 3.27's will probably make the car have less traction lol, it's gonna spool harder and come in sooner, especially in a low transmission geared stick car. Using the loading brake on the dyno would have gotten the spool times down as well.

Were gonna find out...but 672 is alot to push through a .81 housing. So I won't be surprised if it's the housing. I'm really just trying the intake for something different. But the 646rwhp graph kept climbing to the redline..it didn't fall off like the 672 run. So it could be the PI intake just saying thats enough. Or it's the housing...I'm thinking its a combination of both. Might try a quick spool valve with a .96 housing and see what that will do

Haha...thanks Cory. She's been a work in progress...but I'm getting there! Hoping to get some mid 10 sec ET's this week...doubt I can pull the tires like your car though. I'll just have to make it up on the big end

I think its both also, but changing both at the same time might push the curve too much higher and give up midrange. Intake should be here shortly and will get modded for stock fuel rails. This is one intake only swap I have been waiting to see for a loooooong time.

Ryan, please let me know when/if you run it at OSW, as I would like to be there. To go from 13.1 to what it's now capable of... it may take a few runs to get to where it should be.

Also, Nick... On your site you have Ryans setup listed as a .68 housing. He is now running the .81 on the new hotside. Just wanted to point that out, and to mention the new logo looks great!

I'll be there Friday night...weather permitting Should be fun!
