Shifter handle length?

Does anybody have the lengths of the handles for the triax and pro 5.0? Also, out of the two, which one has the shortest shifts? Thanks guys

I replaced the factory Pro 5.0 handle with a Tri-ax handle because (i) the 5.0 was too short requiring more effort than I preferred, and (ii) the Tri-ax provided me with a better seating position. The Tri-ax is noticiably longer with a more rearward/D/S configuration.

Yes the Pro 5.0 handle is definitely shorter than the tri-ax. Pro 5.0 FTW anyday

I have this same setup. Excellent combination and the difference in shift throw is negligible.

I've found that I didnt care for the short handles of any sort and use factory handle with solid bushings or a custom stick. Ran the comfort pro steeda for awhile but no longer using it.

I'm starting to feel like my Tri Ax handle could be a little shorter. I love how it shifts, it just seems like the handle still has a lot of for-and-aft travel for a short shifter.

I guess I've really gotten used to it, because I can't even remember how much longer the throws on the stock shifter were now...

I've never thought the throws were too long on my Tri-ax/comfort pro combo. In fact, I can shift every forward gear with just my wrist, with my forearm resting on the armrest. How much shorter do they need to be? IMHO it's way more important to be able to reach every gear solidly without leaning forward at all than it is to shave the last 1/4 inch of travel. Harnessed in tight, seat all the way back and then some (modified the rails), I can comfortably reach the shifter at all times. I could not say the same with the Hurst I used to have.

I ended up going with the Steeda shifter. It seemed that through my research that was the one for me. It was a hard choice between this and the Pro 5.0 due to the nostalgia properties of the Pro.

I'm not knocking the Tri-Ax, just observing how much I've gotten used to it over the past year. It's a great shifter. I love mods like this that make the car much more fun and enjoyable to drive at any speed. I had my alignment checked the other day and after taking it around the block the tech even commented on how much better than stock it shifts.

You sure drive the hell out of your car MFE. I would love to get my car on a road course some day, I can only imagine how much seat time I would need to be able to drive like that though!
