10.8:1 heavy pistons, stock rods, stock iron crank, early block, RPM heads (1.90/1.60 unported), RPM intake, 830 carb, all in a stripped & gutted '84 coupe. 7.30's all day long in warm weather. With the alcohol carb, 6.80's and 90's with better consistency. Weight? 2470 best I remember. C4 with 3800 stall speed, 4.86, 28x9 M/T. Stock rear suspension but reinforced/welded torque boxes, boxed lowers and adjustable uppers. Front sus. is all stock with sway bar gone. It's got a LOT more in it if I had time to mess with it! Dad's 347 in a bigger heavier fairmont goes 6.30's at 109-110 with the exact same heads but with a roller cam, 13:1 and a couple more RPM. The coupe's cam is a flat tappet solid cam that is I believe 245-255 at .050 and .544 lift. Pretty mild really.

.030" flat top pistons from probe, stock rods(arp bolts), stock crank, stock block with no girdle. AFR 185's, Victor Jr., decent size solid lifter cam, I beleive it was .560 lift, 254/262@.050", and 750 holley carb. C-4 9" conv. 4500 stall, 4.56 gears 26X10.5 slicks. In a gutted out 83' hatch. with a 6 point bolt in gage, all stock suspension and the only traction device is a set of lakewood slapper bars. Car weight I belive was 2500 lbs, no driver.

Damn, that's pretty impressive for a stock shortblock.
