Looks like it just needs some fresh oil...may want to put some heavier weight oil in there or the engine might have a "tick"

Elwood: Oh no.
Jake: What the #### was that?
Elwood: The motor. We've thrown a rod.
Jake: Is that serious?
Elwood: Yup.

Asesome vids! Bad ass car also!

What times were you running w/combo?

Carnage sucks, but if it lasted the whole season it was a good build.
FE=BBC + arm + leg+$

Most formed pieces with ASTM stamping meet none or few ASTM standards.
China is lowering the standards for just about everything worldwide.

730hp motor, cast crank and your surprised it broke.Shame on you.
I've seen lots of 9-10 sec cars with cast crank and two bolt main crank/block combos last several seasons.

I noticed in the OP's pic and the link to his friends carnage, that the bellhousing is cracked in both instances.

Why is that?

I noticed both cracked bellhousing also.

When the crank breaks, it would transmit that shock to the BH.

I seriously doubt the root cause is bellhousing crack propagation.
Most likely bearing failure, detonation or imbalance/vibration that led to catastrophic failure.

The OP's car pulls the wheels off the ground, which is impressive, but is torture on the frame, suspension, motor mounts, etc.

I seen a few landings where the driver nailed the oilpan, doing damage, even though nothing appeared damaged. I'm a physical metallurgist and do some consulting on failure analysis. I'm always curious to find out the details. I've seen some stranger stuff.

The motor has never been hurt and all bearings look prefect. When the crank broke that is what broke the bellhousing there is no question there. Seen it plenty of times with a stock trans case. It's just a cast crank it can only take so much abuse then needs to be replaced or it's breaks.
