I think the closest Wegmans to me is the one down in Warrington. Maybe I'll take a trip down there one day next week.

Can't believe I forgot to mention Racer 5 on page 1. Shame on me.

Anderson Valley is pretty good too. I really like the Brother David's stuff.

Arrogant Bastard tastes nearly identical to Victory Hop Devil, equally as delicious.

So that's two for two so far! I'll be back to pick up some of the other mentioned brews tomorrow or Monday, so keep them coming.

Of quick notice, I did see the Hop Ottin and Lagunita stuff on the shelves.

As mentioned in the other thread, I'm drinking Flying Dog Snake Dog IPA tonight. Decent, nothing from FD has really turned me on so far, but I thought I'd give it a try. Plus it's 7.1% and I feel like getting a little twisted tonight.

I didn't see any of the Flying Snake Dog on the shelves, so that's a no go. I also didn't see the Hop-oculapus or whatever, pretty sure I would have known it when I seen it The lagunitas stuff looks like a pretty light IPA, so I skipped it and got what Cellos recommended, plus another one that sounded good. I'll post my impressions after the game.

If you like Dogfish 90, you will also like Hercules Double IPA, very similar. Great stuff! Later on during the week I'll try the Hop Ottin.

Hercules is Great Divide, here in Denver. I've not had a bad brew from them yet.

Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA has kicked my arse on more than one occasion. I usually get a couple bottles once a year just for the hell of it.l

If anyone here has tried Dragon's Milk from New Holland Brewery, sound off. This is my favorite beer on this green earth.

Definitely not an IPA. They call it an ale but it seems to me more like a chocolate stout.

So I finally got down to the Wegmans today. What a great selection they had. I didn't know what to get. I decided on a Flying Fish Octoberfest and I got Smuttynose IPA. Waiting for them to get cold to give em a try.

I recently tried Arbor Brewing's Strawberry Blond. I give it a C-. It was flat and had far too much sediment, even for a bottle-conditioned beer.

I also tried Bell's Cherry Stout. This is the best stout I've ever tasted. The sweetness of the cherry really helps to balance the full, complex stout. I give it a B+.

Jev, can you get Great Lakes beer where you're at? If so, and you're looking for a stout, their Blackout Stout should be available in February I think. Outstanding stuff. Strong. Not for the weak. I've only ever drank a whole 4-pack in one night a few times.

Two more for you Jev: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/565/9584

Celis Grand Cru is a bit sweet but interesting and a nice 8%ABV

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/565/5222

A Witbier by the man that brewed Hoegaarden Wit.

Yeah I think I can. I'll check that out.

4 stouts in one night would rock me.

I typically throw my stouts into a black and tan, that way I can get the flavor without feeling like I ate a sandwich afterwards.

Thanks dude, I'll check those out too.

I dig pale beers, but I'm not that into IPAs. I think pale beers like the belgian you linked are pale without an overwhelming hop presence, I like that better than IPAs.

That being said, I still want to try Dogfishhead's 120.

If you can, you gotta try my go-to beer, Commodore Perry. It is an IPA, but if you're looking for a little cleaner/crisper IPA with a little less alcohol, try their Burning River. Their best selling beer is Dortmunder Lager. It is decent, but not nearly their best offering. They have a seasonal red ale for sale right now called Nosferatu. it is excellent. Great Lakes Christmas Ale (should be available by the end of this month) is the best beer anyone has ever made. Ever.

They use alternative bittering agents and less bitter hops. Both have a slight sweetness. As much as I love IPA's once in a while something with some sweetness is good.

I bought two stouts tonight. One was Young's double and the other was Samuel Smith's Imperial. This thread got me wanting to try different beers and since I like stouts....

I've never had either of 'em before. The double chocolate is great. The Samuel Smith's has a hint of apple cider and seems smoother. I definitely like 'em both.

Expanding your beerizons ftw!

I probably won't be buying much beer for a while, as I have 60+ homebrew beers sitting at home, along with 40+ Appleweins and 10 gallons of hard cider in the fermenters.
