Dart 364ci stroker puts down 1400rwhp

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVB9d...eature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJLuO...eature=related

here's 2 vids of the drag car. Dart 364 with 30lbs of boost from a Procharger F2, no belts, mounted in bumper and blows thru the crankshaft, intercooler on passenger side. Did a 7.8 and 187mph in the 1/4. This car is scary.

Internals r Eagle 4340 forged H-beam rods, Eagle 4340 crank, Ross pistons 10:1CR, neutral balanced. Tuned with DFI.

TFS-R stage 4 port. flow 360/260cfm @ .700 lift. .700 ish solid roller.

when he had AFR 225's and a YSi tim with 23lbs and a Mondo cooler it put down 905/720. and did a 8.7 and 155mph. then he put on the TFS-R's and the F2 with 24lbs and put down 1150/925 tuned on a stock computer with a custom chip still with belts and the Mondo cooler. Then he went beltless, moved the SC into the bumper and added 6lbs more boost and the DFI. sold the Mondo and went intercooler. he's scared right now to take it any faster than a 7.8 and 187. the F2 as you know can handle 38lbs.

here's some more vids of the old setup with the YSI.

Runs good.

Very similar to my combination in a lot of ways. I haven't managed to get any real passes out of my gear drive setup yet.

ya, I saw some cars on pinks hitting 8.0 and 8.3 on drag radials. I was wrong and learned something.

when my friend went from a YSI with 23lbs to a F2 with 24lbs he picked up 245rwhp.

That's because you run a Vortech. They dont have to make as much
HP to go faster.

Mike Dez is going with the gear drive also, I like that you don't have to mess with blower belts, maybe Vortech will come out with a belt-less supercharger.

What's his combo Miles??? The only thing I dont like about the gear drive is
your limited on radiator option's and space.
But working off the crank shaft should deffinately help alot.
Does anyone know who has the best prices on the gear drive???

Hey Brian I hear you on about the limited amount of space for the rad, it takes alot more fab work to get it setup. Novi357 went with a geardrive this year I'm sure he will pop in and post some pics. .I'm not exactly sure on the ci of the engine, but its a 302 dart with TEA Highports, in car air-water cooler, not sure on cam specs, Mike is a Procharger dealer you can give him a call on a price and he can fill you in more about his combo.

what is involved to do so. Different gear's??? How do they run acc's???
Im thinking about going to a belt drive fuel pump also to cut down on amp draw.

My setup for the geardrive with the radiator is a bit different. I wanted to at least try to see if I could make my existing parts work before spending a lot of money on a new radiator or on some kind of custom setup where a lot of fabrication would have to happen. Also, since my car sees a lot of street time, it had to be something that could survive on the street. For a racing setup, it would be much easier to make something work with a smaller radiator. I had a bunch of other ideas if this did not work out.

The geardrive bracketry is nice in that there are provisions for running something like a mechanical fuel pump or alternator or vacuum pump.

Unfortunately I have no real test time at the track with the geardrive setup due to some unrelated issues. I did drive it on the street probably 100 miles with no real problems. There are two 11" fans underneath the radiator as well.

Not exactly the setup you would expect when looking at this car:

I have a goofy video that I had made when I first got it running of it just driving around. It is kind of boring to watch, but was basically made because some people had questioned the street manners of the car.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/8...art_690940.htm

The cage is only certed to 8.50 so that is my basic goal. I would like to get to the point where even a bad pass on the 17s is in the 8 second range. I realize the geardrive is massive overkill for what I am doing, but I got a great price on it and I like doing things a little differently. Not to mention, the geardrive does offer some great advantages over the belt setup.

I'm switching to a mechanical fuel pump and bigger injectors in order to run e-85 so that should be kind of interesting.

That is insane! It's like a can of sardines under that hood.
Novi how is the response of the boost with the gear drive?
Does it hit harder or come in sooner?

yes, i can get them..

the last call i made to you was in regards to you trusting something Dave said to you.. i told you to call me back to discuss and i never heard from you. Then, i saw you modified your signature on all the sites and took me out of it.. So, why would i call you now? I thought we didnt talk any more.

I opened up my new shop a while ago and spend all my time there now. Plus, my son is 16months old so he has me busy as well.

Novi how is the response of the boost with the gear drive?
Does it hit harder or come in sooner?
The geardrive is setup for more boost than my old combination so it isn't a fair apples to apples comparison for the way the boost comes in.

Bob I havent talked to you or him since. I dont know if it was true or he was using what I said to not finnish completeing the deal he had with me. Either way I felt like I came up short and to this day still havent recieved the rest of the stuff. I know you had nothing to do with that part of it and the more I think about it I know it's not right. Your a great guy and I miss not conversing with you because you have given me some great advise over the year's and I dont know anyone that know's more about a supercharged car in the world than You. But my reason for not calling was I thought anything I would have said at the time would have not been good so I was just trying to let it go. Ive never said anything agianst you to anyone and even though you dont know Ive sent alot of customer's your way since then. But if you dont want to talk to me I will respect your wishes. I hope you can accept my Appology.

apology accepted... feel free to call any time.. again, the new shop has been killing me.. maybe you will finally bring your car up and have me tune it on my dyno? You have talked to me many times and I have given you countless tips and never asked for a dime. I would have thought you knew me and my reputation by then..

OP, sorry for the highjack!

talk to you soon Brian!
