10 second streetable combos

Curious about what setups you guys have running in the 10s and still streetable. I'm trying to find the cheapest street friendly way to do it(yes I know the 2 probably dont go together).

They go together very easily (10's and streetable not the cheap part, forget that now) with a power adder such as nitrous. A 331 n/a combo that can break off 10.90's takes more effort/money and depending on your defenition of streetable may be hard to do. But a stout aftermarket block with a good n/a combo and a cam that can take advantage of a 150-200 shot when your at the track could be very streetable once again depending on your idea of "streetable". My car will run mid elevens n/a and I feel it is very streetable but some might not agree. With a decent shot of spray I could be deep in the 10's. Tens and cheap dont go together very well, anyone can make a 10 second car that will last a couple passes but if you want dependability and 10's now your talking about more money, more time and more testing. Let everyone know your idea of streetable and if you want to stay n/a or go power adder and if so which power adder you prefer. Do you want to stay efi or alright with carb? You gonna race on street tires or dot slicks or full slicks? Etc, etc.

heres a cheap and very streetable pump gas low 10 second combo that i use to run.all motor no power adders.

CHP 347 shortblock flattops
AFR 205's 58cc with titanium retianers and Kmotion K950 springs
Super Victor intake
probe 1.7 shaft mount rockers
Pro systems carb 860cfm
Camshaft Innovations solid roller cam

tko 600 box stock
Spec stage 3+ clutch
5.13 gears
28in tires
car wieghed #2880 with driver

i shifted it at 7600-7700 rpm.
that was a stock E7 block.
i adjusted the valves twice a year, drove it about 150 miles every week for 3 years that way before i sold it.

it ran 1.38 60ft. 10.27 @ 133mph every rip. that car could've been a bracket racer.

370-410 cid 351W stroker, 11:1, AFR 185's, victor jr intake and 750-850 double pumper, 1 3/4 headers to a 3" dual system, a Comp Magnum 280H (hyd flat tappet).

Peak horsepower around 5000-5500 rpm, launches like gangbusters, and pulls from 2500 rpm onward, powerbrakes, low rpm idle, shift around 5500-6000.

One example went 10.50's (3200 lbs), with an auto (no trans brake), and slicks. pulled 60 ft times in mid-upper 1.40's (No trans brake!). switched to a solid flat tappet (the only change) and got 10.30's out of it.

I was thinking of going the same route as you and building a 347 that could run mid 11s then spraying 150 shot on it. That seemed to be the cheapest streetable reliable option to me. I'd prefer efi as I dont really know much about carbs. My setup I was considering was a 347 with AFR 185s, systemax 2 ported, custom cam and all the supporting parts. Hoping that would do mid 11s then spray 150 shot for 10s. I will be running a lentech which is already in the car. I mainly made the post becasue I'm curious what other people are running and looking for any different builds/suggestions that I hadnt thought of. By cheap I didnt mean I want to build a 10 sec car for 2k just would rather spend as little money as possible while keeping it streetable.

A power adder car is going to be the most streetable of all the combos, The cheapest way to go is to do heads and intake with the stock cam. Stock cam S-Trim combos will make between 550-580RWHP which is guaranteed mid to low 10s, The reason I say do a supercharger is because it wont take long filling bottles before the cost of the Nitrous system and expendables exceedes that of a supercharger set up. A stroker is fun as is a 351w based stroker but they aren't cheap, You can buy a new Vortech SC and SCi-Trim for 1800 and then get heads/rockers and intake. The thing is you can't build a cheaper more consistent combo, Yeah a turbo would be nice as would a big cube stroker but the fact is neither are cheap to build or buy. Use your stock short block and save a bunch of money, You can do what I listed above for about 3500 but you would be hard pressed to build equal HP for that money.

Nothing wrong with old TRWs especially with a power adder, The block is the weak link and Pro Comp heads are junk.
