Unhappy I posted a vid of my car on streetfire and someone called BS and called me GTO boy :(

Lol, I posted a video where I said it was an 8 second car driving around. One of the comments called me a tool and GTO boy for even claiming it was an 8 second car.

I swear, how hard is it to see that I have other videos posted of the car running in the 8's?

I do like that "GTO boy" is the new insult for people who are lying about their cars.

It really is a boring video. I guess it would have been ok if I had known the sound was going to be so bad. But, I was not in the mood to go out and drive around again to re-film it.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/8...car_690453.htm

It was just a webcam shoved into the space between the seat and the headrest. All in all, from a video standpoint, it did ok. I just need to adjust the mic sensitivity down.

Delete that! The sound is so bad it makes your car look horrible. We know better, but still, ...terrible sound!

I know it is terrible. I'll need to film it again and fix the sound.

I wish I had known that the mic was going to be that sensitive before doing it.

Nah, no plans right now. I just went through a massive amount of effort to make some changes. Time to have so fun with it (I hope!)

I like those rims, but I just switched to the 10th anniversary copies. Too much money spent these past few months for sure!

I guess I need to lower my expectations a little bit. At least some people in the comments section actually figured out how to look at the other videos.

I find it entertaining more than anything else.

It's all good. I knew when I posted it that the terrible sound was an issue. Someone asked for a video of it driving around so I tried an experiment with the laptop and the webcam. I could have gone out and re-recorded it before posting it up, but it was really humid outside!

Horrible video. Let me know if you need someone to go with you for a ride-around with an HD video camera.

I know it sucks! I'll try again to see if I can get the sound a little better. The HD video might be the next step!

I didn't post them over here, but the gear drive is on the car. A little different in the way I had to set it up, but will be funny to see people's reactions.

You should invite him to a NMRA or NMCA race and school him in a True Street grudge race.

Just out of curiousity Novi, what does that car trap in the 1/8th? Can you give me the rough stats of your 8 sec run? Naturally, I'm not questioning it or asking for a jpeg of the slip, more along the lines of being curious what the other numbers look like on an 8 second pass. Some of us will never run even close to that.

My car won't really put down the normal 8 second slip numbers due to launching so soft and piling on the mph down the track.

This isn't my fastest pass, but here is a jpg of a timeslip:
