Since last August I've been in the process of building an entirely new combination out of my 1998 Saleen.
I removed the 302 stroker mod engine and 2 valve heads along with the 57mm twin turbo system.
I decided to let Fastlane Motorsports in Benson, NC (www.fastlanemotorsports.us) take on the challenge to help me attain a truly unique and badass combo that I could drive anywhere and still make stupid power.
TURBO SYSTEM -
Garrett twin 67mm Big Kahuna turbos
Custom made air-to-air intercooler
All stainless 3" exhaust including hand built custom headers
All stainless cold side piping from turbos to intercooler to t/b
All piping, intercooler, headers, etc were crafted by Jim @ Fastlane.
This guy can weld better than anything I've ever seen.
FUEL ITEMS -
Lucas 120# injectors
Versafueler injector driver
Stock 98 ECM with custom SCT dyno tuning by Caleb @ Fastlane
Aeromotive Pro-Series fuel pumps and filters
Aeromotive Pro-Series regulator
#12 feed lines
#8 return lines
sumped factory tank
DRIVE TRAIN ITEMS -
Viper spec T-56 transmission
SPEC Super-Twin clutch kit with aluminum flywheel
Custom made aluminum driveshaft
Custom fabricated transmission mount by Jim @ Fastlane
Plus many other small items.
Car is still under construction to finish the cold side tubing, but this car should be back on the streets by the end of June!
Here's some pics.
Let me know if any questions!

**I plan to debut the car @ Mustang Week! See you there!
Wow! Can't wait to see some numbers from this puppie. I love that trans xmember.

Talk about doing it right! Very nice job so far. From what I can tell from the pictures, you're right about the quality of the fabrication work those guys can do.
killer car but why are you using alumized dynomax mufflers when the rest of the car has pretty stainless steel.

The ports were filled and then relocated and altered for better air flow distribution.
Here's a picture of the work that Kris @ Champion Heads performed for me.
Absolutley one of the sickest builds I have ever seen, mad props to you dude. I have one question though, do you really think that Viper Spec T56 is going to live behind that motor? I don't think so.

Pretty sick alright. Especially impressed with the fabrication including the intake tube and the work on the Sullivan. Please pay the guys that did the work more compliments... I think the Viper spec T56 should hold up fine until you plant some slicks to the pavement. When you do that you'll find all the other weak links unfortunately like the axles, diffs, and of course the tranny. Incidentally, I can't make out a scattershield from the pictures or a driveshaft safety loop??? Surely you're not going to run that at anywhere near full power without a scattershield, or shaft safety loop for that matter? Please don't do that... Get at least a quicktime scattershield ASAFP. BTW, I got a quicktime for my T56 install in case my Ram twin blows up and it was super smooth to install. I also installed a driveshaft safety loop for the aluminum driveshaft. Another thing I did was improving the TOB retainer to a billet piece when I installed the 26 spline input, but the tailshaft is the weakpoint cause it's Cobra specs but if your's is up and looks sound you're probably fine there. Depending on what and who your tuner is will best determine what tuning you implement, but it sounds like you've got that sewn up..? Personally I went with a FAST but I should have researched who was close enough to drive to tune. Had to learn it all on my lonesome, but it's not bad once you got it figured out. Still though, need a dyno and a compliment of a tuner that knows what they're doing when I can get a chance. For now I just tune where the cops aren't...
Also, I have a back up TKO600 that's been face plated for when and if I decide I'm going to get goofy with power as I'm contemplating hooking up my twin turbos to my KB 2.8 (Compound boost), just cause it would be a fun experiment... I have a stroked 4.6 cast iron block, Crower cams and valvetrain and Oliver billets with custom DRP's waiting till I have enough time...
Awesome ride though for real...

I think you mentioned that the shaft was custom made? I used a 2003 Cobra shaft that was long enough but I wanted the yoke to go in a little futher into the tail unit especially given it's a stock Cobra tailshaft. So I put a driveshaft spacer to bump it in a bit more...

I have 31 spline moser axles, c-clip eliminators, a Detroit Locker (tru-trac), and a driveshaft safety loop going in this week.
I already use an electronic boost controller and it is a pull out type (long cable) that I put in my cup holder so I can adjust boost when needed.
The T56 will be just fine for what I'm doing.
I really like the way it drives. I've gone 275 miles so far as of tonight and it shifts like a champ.
I only got into it 1/2 throttle tonight and it BLAZED the rear tires in 3rd gear......and I was running 65 mph when it happened.
I cannot wait to get it broken in and throw the boost to it!!!!!
That's a pretty outrageous build, and I can see any # of parts that cost more than my entire project.(poor people have poor ways I'm doing something not totally dissimilar. I'm curious just exactly how much you'll end up using those blow off valves. I've got one similar turbo, and there's another within easy reach. I'd been figuring I"d be so over turbo'ed that a blow-off wouldn't be necessary.(I'll be running a 4.6) Anywho, I'd be curious to see know just when and if the blowoff's come into play.
Nice job, have fun, and don't kill yourself in that thing!
