Problems with a shop in Florida, need help "UPDATED"

UPDATE: The Name of the company is Need-4-Speed

Need For Speed, Inc.
2170 Sunnydale Blvd.
Suite V
Clearwater, FL 33765

Shopowner's name is Tony Beake, Corral's Member Name is 4v GT
-----------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone

I have a big problem with popular shop in FL. In September 08, I ordered a Twin Screw and other parts and payd 6000$ for them. All the parts shoud go to small Switzerland. Yes, its the land with banking trouble actualy :-)

The problem: Since today, I dont received absolutely nothing from the shop. First, he told me, that the manufacturer cannot produce. Then the Deliver-Company lost the package.... then, the Driver is in vacation, then in a personal Leave, so he cant tell us absolutely nothing.

Meanwhile the shopowner told me, that he let his attorney opperate against the Deliver-Company.

Its hard, but meanwhile I dont believe to the owner. I mean, its more than 180 days, since I've pais for that stuff. He dont inform me about this case.

I wrote to the shop, that My attorney will see the correspondece between him and his attorney till today, otherwise I'll let work My attorney in this case.

But I dont wanna fight against him. I'll only an answer from him. Only the truth.

What would you do, in such a case?

Best wishes

Joe

Plenty of members here in Florida that, i'm sure, would visit the unlisted shop for you. If I put down 6k and didn't have my parts in almost seven months, SWHTF!

Name the company to people in a PM until you find out for sure what is going on. Good luck.

Hi Apollo

I would prefer not to name the shop at the moment. He has a really good reputation, not only here in this forum.

I make the name public, when I dont hear from him in an appropriate time.

You would think anyone worth their weight in salt would ship a 6k item with a tracking number. Tell him to produce it. Very simple.

I've wrote two times to him, to tell me the number. He think, that "to many cooks will oversalt the soup"

I would throw a few molotovs at the building.

In all seriousness Joe, I hope your attorney can help you out. Also welcome to the Corral.

Our wheels of justice and refunds grind very slowly. I know patience is difficult but rely on your attourney to help move the process along.

Do not oversalt that soup.

Sorry you are dealing with this.

See, slow...

I don't mean to tease but this stuff can take a while. It may be sitting in some customs warehouse just waiting to be freed....

Joe,

Let's put this into perspective:

You are out $8,000.00 dollars of YOUR money. You also do not have the product or parts you ordered. The shop or person you ordered these parts from is not helping you out.

POST UP THE BUSINESS NAME OF THE SHOP AND PERSON YOU SPOKE TO IN FL.

I hate to put that in caps, but, you need to post up the shop info, regardless if the owner or business associates w/ others on this site/forum.

It sounds to me like this business or owner is taking you for a ride, since you are WAY OVER THERE and he/she is HERE... It's easy for them to take your money and not send the parts, because their thinking is - what are YOU really going to be able to do while you're WAY OVER THERE... See?

Let's see, they supposedly shipped it via a major freight or shipping company - and supposedly the driver goes on vacation so that is what is holding up the delivery process? Wait a sec, was the "Driver" going to drive the package all the way over to YOU, was he planning on driving on water?

Do you see what I am getting at? This business and/or owner of the business is blatantly lying to you about what has happened with your hard earned money...

He won't give you a tracking number either? WHY? He never produced a tracking number after receiving your money and saying the item was to ship out? That in itself is just proving that it seems this guy was out to steal your money and not send anything.

If you even contacted Kenne Bell and they have no records of the item they were to have sent to this business - then I don't need to keep putting 2+2 together for you....

I'll say it again - post up the name of the business and the person you have been dealing with over there, that is the only way any Corral Member in FL can assist you with this issue.

Good luck - If I were you, I'd be on the next plane out of Switzerland and heading to the FL shop in person to literally straighten things out...

Has he given you a tracking # for the shipping? Did you pay by credit card? If so you can tell him you will dispute the charges till he finds out what is going on. 6 months is a long time sorry to hear about this and hope it gets resolved soon.

No, it was a bank wire transfer. He dont accept CC or Paypal in such amount and overseas. He was cheated a few times.

Even if they are not at fault (hard to believe) I would like to know what shop makes you wait half a year for your parts.

Methinks the shop in question believes Joe to be Nigerian, and though I don't have all the info, I'm inclined to believe the same.

Joe,

Please post up the shop & individual's name - waiting 6-7 months for parts, or a respectible answer is not "ok" - nor is it anyway ANY shop or Seller should perform or conduct a business transaction, regardless if it was overseas or not.

I don't understand why you're holding out on the shop or individual's name, if they have not helped you in the 6-7 months that has passed, they surely are not going to start out helping you now.

Post up the info - and if you have any of your email correspondences with this facility or person, copy & paste those to this thread as well.

Here's the deal, let Joe do as he sees as the right thing.

It is his conscious and 1 day isn't going to kill him now, it has been 180.

If he needs the day to make everything line up in his head he needs it. If the shop has had his parts for 6 months it isn't like they are going to be there any more. They didn't sell them yesterday, they took the money, and sold the parts for half price probably 4-5 months ago.

Joe, you are doing the right thing. Keep it to yourself until you feel that you have given the shop the opportunities necessary to correct the problem. Once your mind is at ease about posting it, do it. and forget about the "repercussions". If they would do this to any customer they are POS's.

Chris

So they cannot share YOUR info to YOU? Thats a bit odd. You made it clear to them that you ordered the kit for yourself right Joe?

Actually he didn't. He ordered it through a shop. They ordered it from KB and since their name is on it first I suspect that KB is covering their asses.

wire transfer = 99% chance of scam. Some guy tried getting me that way years ago but I got what was mine in the end. Good luck.
