The engine will be boosted. I have flipped the manifolds and plan on putting two turbos in each corner, relocate the battery of course.
\H-beam rods and forged pistons. Its just a 5.4 with two extra cylinders As for the headlights Actually there is a gap in the corners, but its not too bad

I rented an econoline based truck with a V10 in it and it was pretty sweet. Also some of those F350s with the 10 move out pretty fast-especially considering the weight.
Is there a forged crank in that badboy? Erich

Vinnie: After 3 years of helping my buddy with is 4.6 DOHC swap into a 93 Notch, I figured I had to "one up" him. I know I'll be lucky to hit his numbers 840whp (and he has potential to go higher) Its just more bragging rights lol
Nutts, I dunno what the SBFs weigh, when this was shipped it weighed 695lbs. That was complete, all sensors, fuel rails, everything. Its a little porker. But, if I wanted to go fast I woulda gotten a Teksid 4.6.. not like it will be slow ![]() Ackstang.. I've never been a fan of Mustangs! lol.. hence the Username haha Erich: The V10s came with a forged steel Crank

here is where I had to cut the cam cover. Its just the PCV baffle, so there are no clearance issues. gotta weld it up now

Wow that project was/is/will still be alot of work.
You've got the exact headlights I'm replacing mine with. Other than the gaps how problematic was the install? Also is/was getting them aimed properly a problem? |

I do too, its why I picked em (cause my car is black too) I just wanted to make sure that they were of good quality as the last time I purchased a one piece head light it was a pan in the sitter. I was looking at the ones on AM, is that where you got yours?

I like the project, but I'm surprised you didn't take a minute to put tape over the intake ports. You obviously aren't lazy, taking on a project like that.

Oh, the whole motor is getting torn down. And if I were doing anything over the motor such as grinding or cutting, i'd still cover them.

I really like that shot from the front with the intake ports. That motor is so long!
Is it going to be hard to find a place for the turbos? Erich

nice project, dont let anyone ever tell you something cant be done lol.
Just a question hasnt someone came up with a master cylinder relocation setup, i swore i seen it done on a fox before. Just seems easier than chopping the covers up. Keep up the hard work

The V10 is actually a 4.6 with 2 more cylinders, not a 5.4.
It shares the same deck height and same rod length as a 4.6. Super Ford had an article years ago where someone adapted the whole set up from an E350 into an SN95. I seem to remember the intake and throttle body were tricky. |

I actually thought about doing this same swap a couple weeks ago since I haven't bought a motor for my notch project yet. But the lack of aftermarket anything made me decide otherwise. But, I didn't know they came factory with forged cranks and that they are just 4.6 w/two more cylinders.
That's what I get for being a chevy guy. |
