open downpipe will sound like flows at idle, but either way u want to use a open muffler not a chamber'd one, so at wot its gonna be loud as crap either way unless u wanna sacrifice horsepower

Dynomax and magnaflows are popular with turbo's

My car with 3" DP 2.5" Y pipe into bullets. Wastegate problems so it clearly isnt a full pull. Sounded pretty good though, but its open DP now.

Mine was not that loud at all. It was loud enough that I thought cops would bother me, but they did not. I have a dumped 3" hooker max flow now. It is quiet, but would sound better with tails.

No way I could drive mine around with the open DP - I wouldn't make it 3 blocks before the police would tow it. Far too loud.

Hooker AeroChambers or Dynomax Turbos?

I would like something that would give me the sleeper sound. Quite, quite quite yet still flow enough not to inhibit the turbo's efficiency too much.

I will be running the 3 inch Y-pipe and dual 3" exhaust to the muffs then 2.5" to the bumper.

2 mufflers in the stock location

The areo chambers are not straight through. I don't think the turbos are either. If you are running exhaust to the bumper, then get something like hooker maxflow, magnaflows or borla xs, all should be sleeper enough. My max flow is pretty quite, and its dumped.

Great table for comparison. I would like to know what was used as a test mule. I'm sure the number would vary quite a bit between a NA and turbo car.

I'm leaning toward the Borlas after that video. Just wonderin what they sound like under WOT. Only down side is the damn price. But i guess if they are the best and never wearout then it will be worth it when you consider the price to replace other muffs if they wear out not to mention the time or paying a muffler shop.

The Dyno Max Turbos aren't straight through but they have internal directional tubes that decrease the turbulence when the exh gas has to do a u turn. You get 3 times the baffle surface of a straight through. But they are aluminized and not SS. I think I'll just saveup untill I can afford $130 muffs Ouch! :-(
