This is why we harp on safety

Case in point. This could have turned out much worse.

That's what happens when you don't run the proper safety equipment when you run nitrous. Just goes to show you, it doesn't pay to cheap out when it comes to your safety and the safety of others.

what proper saftey equipment would have saved that car from burning threw the nitrous line?

The driver didn't even kill the fuel pump and saftey crew needs a lesson on what a master kill switch does...

That was a fuel fire before the nitrous line let go, A side from an inline shut off valve mounted near the driver and a halon fire suppression system not much would have helped in that case since they failed to use the kill switches all ready on the car..

good thing nitrous is non flammable.... its an oxidizer... and the power doesn't come from the nitrous itself, it comes from the added fuel it allows you to burn....

Nitrous oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas", is a chemical compound with the chemical formula N2O. At room temperature, it is a colorless non-flammable gas,
