Some are better sports than others. I think what really ticks some of them is when they find out they have to lift to let me by on the straights because my car really isn't any faster than theirs in and of itself.

I was wondering why those drivers let you pass. Is it because they know you run faster laps than they do and that is the proper etiquette, or because they don't like being "pushed", so to speak?
Are any of those passes made while the other driver was trying to stay ahead ? Nice steady driving. I've never driven a course like that but can imagine you find your cars limits very quickly.

This was a Driver Education event or DE, not an actual race or time trial, so passing is allowed only if the car being overtaken gives a point-by, and then only on the straights. They're trying to maximize safety by restricting the situations where contact is likely to occur, those being when the overtaken driver doesn't know there's a car overtaking him, and in corners. Very few organizations run events with unlimited passing. That said, some guys just either refuse to believe they're running slower and are reluctant to "give the point". Those guys are ######## and they typically drive corvettes. Like this one: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/h...day_117334.htm
