I didn't necessarily blow mine up. A small sliver of metal found its way to the main bearing and seized the engine.

Mine spun a rod bearing at 45k or so. I wasn't too broken up about it since I got a great deal on my '03 Cobra swap.

Been running 12-13 lbs. of boost for 3 years now on a stock 01 shortblock and still running strong. 480rwhp(525 when I had the manuel trans). I run sbra footbrake class at Old Dominion, so the car is at the track almost every week. Good tuner and race gas.

My friend got his Vortech 02 GT back in 05 with 15k miles on it, already had a Vortech S Trim on it, he put LT's and Crower Stage II Cams in it. He finally got it retuned awhile after that and beat the FUGG OUT OF IT for 1.5 years, making 431 rwhp, before it broke a ringland at 49000 miles. When he pulled the motor, it had a reman Ford motor in it.

This isnt even a 10th of the races that car has seen lol

I threw a rod at 11lbs of boost 32,000 miles on motor. I was pretty hard on my car but I think I had a weak motor from the factory b/c it should of hung together longer than it did. The car was tuned and everything was good but blew up at the 1000ft mark.

my car blew up on 12 lbs. weird circumstances though, after i pulled the engine (2000 GT with a procharger) it ended up having a NPI engine in it. don't know the whole story, but it only made 350 hp on 12 lbs with other mods done. car ran for the better part of 2 years like that before letting go. i put a stocker in it now and i'm gonna try 8-9 lbs and see how long that lasts. i dont even know how many miles the engine in the car had on it when it blew.

First motor from the factory blew up with pullies and a flowmaster, lol. I think the previous owner had boost or nitrous on it because if not that was pretty lame.

Now I have mild bolt-ons and cut 1.8 60s and run 13.3, I have about 100 passes on this motor. I have hit 7200rpms accidentally once too on a stock valvetrain. This damn engine is a testament to Modular cars. ::Runs to knock on wood::

Overall this car has been well maintained but it has seen a bit of "abuse." Stock longblock, 3650, clutch, rear end running high 7s on the bottle(obviously 1/8th mile, 100-125 shot) cutting 1.7 flat 60's(stock suspension). Has 68k miles on it at the moment and it still runs like new. Actually trying to sell it at the moment, no regrets though it's been fun and reliable as #### 'knock-on-wood.'

I think anybody pushing over 8 pounds on the stock block is just messing with fate. For you guys in the double digits it's just a ticking timebomb regardless of tuning or anything.

i believe erich on here could attest to the strength of the 2v engine. his has been blown for like 200k miles with a procharger or something crazy like that and it hasn't blown up.

Speeds8erM-1,

That was some great video! I have to say very good entertainment for a Tues. night in my living room 19" computer monitor. Quite funny and creative with the captions too. Not sure if you put it together or not, but good work whoever did.
