Camaro driver was a non-driver. If I had a head/cam LS1 that only went 11.9 I'd shoot myself. Both nice cars tho.

But you need to polish on them shifting skills.

ehhh. solid roller with aftermarket heads vs. a tiny lsx cam and production heads. Both cars are pretty quick though....

Nothing for nothing.. but LSX guys seem to forget one very important thing. OVER 30 YEARS OF TECHNOLOGY SEPERATES THESE MOTORS.

THE STOCK LSX HEADS FLOW BETTER THAN SOME PORTED AFTERMARKET windsor heads!!! My crappy IRON heads included.

The LSX is a more EFFICIENT motor period. Any ford person who doubts that, its just a hater. It is a more powerful base PERIOD, and mod for mod.. NO if ands or buts.

Stupid ass comments like the one above from the chevy camp (especially on an unbiased vid, like this) don't take things like this into account.

So my rebuttal to you would bring a 3rd gen motor and go mod for mod. First gen 350's were around since the early 90's in tpi variant, right? Look what Windsor motors did to those pieces.

Don't pay attention to those comments...

As long as you're happy with the car that's all that matters.

Hmm... I didn't even notice that.. I thought it was the camera angle but apparently I was a shallow staging. We are trying to setup a rematch..

I gotta mapquest 4th gear right quick

Nice video. You have a lot of good videos on youtube.
Were you at Lebanon valley for Muscle palooza 8/31/08 ?
Found this pic on Lebanon web site. How did the car run I see you were in B6 must have ran good.

Holy #### small world... Yea I ended up being a little late getting there because I drove up there. But luckily the tech inspection is a joke there. The dude asked what I ran, I said um.. low 13's, hehe. He let me go right in even though I had a bottle in the back and B6 is caged territory.

That run was horrible. I figured I'd get 1 pass with the 100shot and call it quits. I botched the launch w/ a 2.0 60' and went for the bottle in 2nd.. The car started detonating up top really bad but it managed a 11.70@124mph IIRC I was so mad I think i threw away the slips.

The plugs were peppered bad so I switched to B5 and ran on motor. I felt out of place w/ trailered drag cars on a full slick as oppossed to a 17' radial, pump gas, street car. lol!

Thanks for the new background though!!!

Wait a sec!! I saw your car there.. Your car is Naasty!!!

I remember looking at cars and seeing yours on a 17' rim, full interior. That looked like the only other streetcar in line. Plus you got a sick suspension setup. How do you get your car to leave like that? You have road race suspension?????

I actually have a trackbite VHT applier that sprays on my tires. It broke on the drive up there though so I couldn't use it. Oh well.

Nice!..

yeah that coupe is my boy Mikes now. He bought it from Humanclone or something on here. That car ran real strong when he bought it. But like all mustang curses, is giving him wicked problems now. It wasn't running good at all when we ran.

I will have to invest in a set of those M/T's.. these bfg t/a dr 2's have a little tread left right about now.. But I got over 1 1/2 years out of them, the last 8 months w/ linelock too .

I can't put my finger on this forum... sometimes I post something I think is gonna blow up, and it gets a hit or 2. Then I post something irrelevant, and it pages out. Oh well. A 17' rim N/A sbf street car in cage territory is impressive in my book!

I should be going to ETOWN November 1 for the street car thing you should come down and race weather should be better and as you know ETOWN seems to be 1-2ths faster then the valley and hooks a lot better also.

If my jackstand warrior permits, then sure! Throw a PM my way to remind me. Ill try to get some track shoes for the event. I know for a fact the tech inspection isn't so lenient though.

I seem to have more trouble at LVD then Etown. Etown never looks at my car. Lvd was easy last week because there were alot of cars running and thay didn't have the time.
You just need a fire jaket drive shaft loop with the bottle tell them your hopeing for low 12s when thay see 17in DRs thay think its slow no hook.
Fist time this year at LVD said what you run 13s I told them I was hopeing for hight 11s he stop looking at the car gave me my ticket and smiled have a nice day.

Good races!

I'm a Ford guy through and through, but there is no denying that GM's LS engines are some serious mills! efficient and deadly, but it only took what, 30 years to catch up to Ford?

Good runs! Weight is definitely a factor in those races! LS1 Camaro = ~3700lbs. Fox with Windsor = ~3100lbs. And with evenly matched (almost) HP and torque, it makes a nice race! lol

Great races, and do work on the shifting.

GM has been rebuilding the 350 over and over again, yes it's great now. Ford didn't do much with pushrod engines after developing fuel injection and the GT40 heads. I think that the modular engines were the wise choice, but Ford did it poorly as usual. The mod engines should have been in 1991 where they were a few years ago.

I'll stick with the pushrod engines for a long time, they fit into anything and you can add fuel injection with little trouble. Regards,
