Paging Mr. Ihara What happened at Ford Media Challenge

You had a GT500KR King of the road and got smoked by a mustang GT with a wheezer and driven by a hybrid camry owning news desk jockey.

Yeah, Evan is the man when it comes to getting a Mustang down the track. Had to have been an off day for all involved!

Yeah, the car ran 12.5@117, 12.5@116 and 12.6@114. So I dialed 12.5.

Then promptly proceeded to run 12.4@114.

Of course the uber crappy reaction time didn't help either. I was so concerned about keeping the car from spinning that I it REALLY hurt my reaction times.

But hey, at least I went FASTER!

What did the GT run (I thought it said mid 13's???)? So did you not actually get smoked, just lost because you broke out?

I'm surprised those cars are only trapping 114-117 though, thought they would be faster.

So now are we going to get those full page pop ups so you can go buy a KR.

Figured ford would just donate one to the corral, sorta company marketing car. That all members above 11,000 post can drive.

Now I understand why MFE was proud of me for breaking 100 at Corral Day years ago. I don't recall my ET, but I managed to do well for myself for not being a drag racer. LOL I prolly deep staged because my R/T are something like waking up after a night of drinking.

If you look at the results, he cut a way better light and broke out by a very small margin.

Ya..I guess Chris was busy setting up his cellular web cam so we could all watch his pass from an "in-car" view when the light turned green.

If you go back to the jalopnik site, they now have a "How to Drag race with video" So in case you want to see a newbies guided to drag racing. I think this guys is coky with his win against chris. Maybe we need to invite the jalopnik for a rematch at corral day. This time heads up in equal cars.

Street tires will break your ball man. I know that I've turned a 12.26 with my GT and blower, but that was my best. High twelve low 13's are normal for this crappy driver. But getting it off the line is tough with a twin screw and street rubber.
