I have a chance to pick up some Ford 3.55's on the cheap. I have a 4 banger T5 going behind my 5.0 and this will be a track car for the local autocross events. I would like to run this at some HPDE events down the road. Car will be more for fun than trying to be competitive.
Is this too much gear for the 4 banger T5? I know first will be waaay steep. Thanks

I would not run that set up since the gear spacing in the 4-banger T-5 is wider than the gear spacing in a 5.0 T-5.

Well, I have 3.55s and a WC T5 in my car and the gears were fine at any autox events I've ever competed at. I'd say they (3.55s) are a good compromise for a dual duty, AX/OT car (caveat: I don't have any OT experience...yet).
