It'll all come out in the 5.0 spread I'm sure. Naz will be more than willing to share once that comes out. He has helped me out alot in trying to recreate one of his old builds.

The engine build tech article is complete and at the printer. The article / magazine will be out in mid-June.

There is no dyno graph in the article. I think you guys nailed the hp.

Just curious will the article have cam specs and/or cfm's for the heads and intake?

OMG!

I just sprayed her with a little 200 shot! WOW, she love it!!!!!!!!!

C16 fuel for safety, 10.7-8 AFR on the WB and some conservative timing. God bless the modular motors! Put the hurt on the slicks! LOL!

She pulls so darn hard that got me by surprise. The pull felt much harder than my Turbo set up. Easy 9s I must say!

Video coming soon!

This is true. I have that intake

I've heard the bores are too short in the stock mod blocks for a reliable stroker. Are the Boss blocks different? It's like $500 different between the BB/stroker and the BB Boss block.

I would guess that this is a ford racing big bore block with a stroker rotating set up. Which would make it easiest to port a set of 03 castings since he has a sully intake and the pics he has posted does not show any welding on the heads or intake that I can see. It is a 322-324 ish ci motor with pretty high lift cams and good duration. Most likely the heads have larger valves to take advantge of the larger bore size. The entire combo is just working together to make the power that it is with a compression ratio of around 12:1. The pistions probably are notched becasue of the cams and the larger valves. I am guessing that the installed deck height of the pistons is pretty low which along with the bore, and what not gets the compression up there and makes for a nice quench and even burn in the cly.

This is my guess I wonder how close I am. What I am curious to see will be the cam numbers choosen with the runner length and extra cubes the motor has.

All in all nothing about it is complicated, just planned out with common sense in mind. Kudos to all involved.

Some research and planning to get the right parts working together is what it counts!

@ NA,

The 200 is good....very goood! The 300 will come but it will be on the controller. I was unable to put her on the dyno today. Just wanted to see the power curve.

Ill be at the track on Wen and see what she will do. I'm thinking that the 4.56s will be the limiting factor at this time.

Depending on how that goes Ill drop the gear to a 4.30 but we will see...

Rats! Will do. I have to reset my clutch pivot ball, it worked loose and my fork is hitting my pressure plate. So I have to drop the tranny, I'll put in the aluminum flywheel while I'm in there. Then I'll get the subframes, irs brackets, and rear strut tower brace welded up. Once all that is done, I'll start pulling the heads. That really shouldn't take long for me to do. The heads may take me a few days though.

Well,

28x10s MTs just arrived. Ill run these with the Nitrous. Based on calculations this will allow up-to 141MPH @ 7750RPMs where the limiter is at right now.

That will be easy 9s even with my lame super slow motion 1-2-3 shifts! LOL!

I'm also doing my home work right now for an automatic swap. I contacted several builders and Im leaning towards at Lentech "Strip Terminator" 4R70W.

I spoke to them for a good 20 minutes rewiewing some specs and data.

Here are some "generic" info on the ST.

Quote:
Part# 7000-4R70-STR
Rated to 1500hp !
Overview: The Strip Terminator AODE/4R70W transmission is in a new class all by itself. A manual shift, fixed pressure valvebody is standard fare.Incorporated into this valvebody is Lentech's famous Reverse/Third technology for huge torque capacity. It is recommended for wild performance vehicles that see limited street usage. Each unit receives numerous key internal modifications and upgrades for increased durability. This transmission incorporates Lentech's exclusive Stage 2, 26 spline 3-4 clutch cylinder and larger 1 piece input shaft. The lockup feature is deleted from the torque convertor for reliability. It is highly recommended that higher than stock axle ratio be installed (3.55 or higher) in conjunction with this transmission model.
Auxiliary transmission oil coolers are also highly recommended.
Specifications:
.Quality selected core, completely stripped, all major components washed and inspected for excessive wear
.Pump modified to delete lockup, and increase lube and cooler flow
.Clutch cylinders modified for extra clutches
.Numerous modifications in strategic areas for efficient clutch operation and life
.8 "high energy" 3-4 clutches
.4 redlined intermediate clutches
.5 or 6 "high energy" forward clutches
.4 or 5 reverse clutches
.New 2" redlined O/D band
.All new seals, gaskets, and filter
.New bushings and thrustwasher (where needed)
.New intermediate ratchet diode clutch and spiral lock ring
.New low one-way clutch
.Lentech custom fixed-pressure manual shift Valve Body with exclusive LentechReverse/Third technology. Transbrake also available.
.Billet 1-piece input shaft and Stage 2, 26 spline 3-4 clutch cylinder ( a Lentech EXCLUSIVE!)
.New oil pan and bolts
.Re-assembled with all critical clearances adjusted for high performance/racing use
.Cast gray finish
.All complete units are dyno tested to insure a quality product
.Lifetime LTD warranty
It will have a full manual valve body, transbrake and a custome 9in converter.

If this goes well, and she runs as expected 9.5s should be easy within reach...may be a bit quicker! Hey, we will see.

That's the plan!

This up-coming Friday will be out to run my bud's TT stroker LSX TA. He just ran 9.96@140MPH. He has been doing some smack talk so....it should be a great run! This will be with my car as is, but the only change being the 28 inch tire.

Well NAZ where are you at? 5.0 did the story on the Boss block build but said nothing of the heads, cams, intake. Was that your build? This jarhead in Oki is wanting to know the details of your engine build. Oh...I've been away from my Mach I for 26.5 months. Only 9.5 more months to go...

What you want to know?

Heads? They are 03-Up castings, 9 threads, fully ported by me. Very, very strong low and mid range and carry to the upper lift. Over 30% lift gains as low as .100 lift!!! One of the reasons the explosive trottle response and sick top end!

They incorporated a Modular Performance -Proprietary- VJ and 1mm oversized valves.

Intake? Sullivan, upper and lower ported by me. Combined with a Wilson Manifolds 1.5 inch billet spacer, dual TB Accuafab and a custom JLT RAI w/12 inch filter.

Cams? Very nice sticks. Nice idle, enough lope to let you know you mean buisness, instant trottle response, insane mid range and top end. Ball park figures: .500/.475, ~236/~230, ~111LS, degreed to John's @ MP expertise and experience. They peaked at ~7200RPMs and carried the power band to 7750RPMs ONLY dropping by 3RWHP!!!!!!

Tune? Base tune by Don@LaSota Racing, finalized by me. 12.8 Commanded and on the WB, up-to 27 deg timing. Picked up 15+RWHP going from 12.6 to a 12.8 AFR. Picked up another 10 RWHP @ peak with changes on timing, by playing with peak TQ timing, and moving from 25 to ~27 deg. More than that, there was no noticeable gains. 93 pump gas.

Hands down, sick little NA set up that loved the Juice! Made over 700RWHP on Nitrous!
