Ok, I feel like a dumbass for even asking this. I took apart my engine (4.6) and marked everything, but then gave away my rods and pistons since I'm going with a stroker setup. Now its time to assemble the new pistons and rods, but I dont know the correct direction for the rods. My question is do the rod bearing locks face to the inside or outside, or does it matter?
I'm using Manley rods and probe pistons. Or if some one has a pic of a stock rod and piston and can tell me what cylinder it came out of, then I can figure out which way it needs to be.
Thanks for any help!

Same here...rods don't matter. But if you have offset pins on your pistons like the factory pistons did then those do matter. For instance the Manley pistons have an arrow on the top that tell you which way they go.
I have the 0n3 kit as well. I was gonna slap it on the stock engine, but then you and 2002mustanggt both took out ya'lls shortblocks. So I deceided to do a stroker before I installed the kit to save me so time later. lol

Smart man These engines live long under a centrifugal...but they don't make the torque that a turbo makes. Which in turn plays havoc on stock equipment...IE aluminum shell rod bearings
