Export taillights.......

I'm working a deal with a guy in Britain right now for a 94/95 set for my '95 Cobra. He might even have the 94-98 fold-in mirrors available from the same car.....I know from my other contact that he at least had the drivers side available.
Just looking to see if there is any more interest in these out there on the Corral; I might be able to score more sets if this guy can find more. I'm also looking for 96-98 set for my '96 Mystic Cobra.

the only place I know of that stocks them regularly is Kar Kraft Engineering and they want $400 for a 96-98 set which is pretty high. From this guy I'm probably looking at $300 USD shipped from Britain.

I've seen them go for 150.00 on ebay before. I know it's a rarity but sometimes you get lucky. Post a pic of them so other people know what you're talking about.

There is a set of export tail lights for 94\95 in Ebay now, already painted rio red. At work and Ebay is blocked.

If I'm not mistaken he's had them for sale for quite some time. He must have his reserve set high though because the bidding got to like $190-200, but nobody met the reserve.

Some people are ###### like that. They wouldn't lower their reserve for any reason. I saw that auction too. I'd love to use those for my car so that I don't have to spend the money painting this other set.

People crack me up. I understand the whole concept of supply and demand...however that works both ways.

An item, whether it be a car, part, etc is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it...as demonstrated by the highest bid.

just fyi, for export models horizontal tail lights were 94-96 and verticals were 97-98

I have seen 96 cars with the horizontal exports for sale in Japan as well.

Yeah, as soon as I saw the first picture in the CL ad, I knew that it was the same seller and exact same item as for auction on Ebay. I got a reply back from the question I sent through Ebay asking about the reserve; all the seller would say in his response is, "judging by your screenname you seem to know a lot about selling mustang parts and therefore would know how rare these are." He wouldn't give up the reserve but I think its safe to say its at least $400 if not the full $450.

So I'm thinking I should stick with the vertical exports for my '96 Mystic Cobra since the verticals are logically more scarce than the horizontals.....

I would've responded with, "Judging by your crazy CL ad, and the fact that nobody is bidding on your item...it's safe to say you're not going to get anywhere near your reserve"
