need a brush/spray-on rust remover, applied directly to rust

i had a battery leak and spilled acid on the firewall. it took off the paint and now has surface rust. its in a difficult spot to remove, and there are brake lines in the way, and i dont have the time to remove them. i need to use something that will prevent rust from getting worse, with very little prep. i can remove some of the rust, but not all of it.

is naval jelly good to use in this situation?

Metal ready from POR 15, degrease area, spray on keep good and wet for about 30 mins , wire brush or wheel the rusty area keeping it soaked with the metal ready,(this will loosen and break down the deep down rust) then rinse it with hot water and imediately dry. It will leave a goldish zinc phosphate haze, along with eliminating a lot of rust that would normally need to be media blasted out. Works great at the body shop, where we really cant do media blasting.

Never heard of Asfo...however I have used Naval Jelly and had good results. easy to find at a hardware or car parts store too. Apply it, let it sit, and then remove with water. Prep and paint.
