any good 80-96 f150 forums?

any good 80-96 f150 forums? Mainly dedicated to drag racing them?

I just picked up an 82 w/ a 95 front end on it. Figured I'd make it into my beater 1320 truck with left over parts from my mustang. I'm looking into mainly some truck builds and suspension setups...Anyone wanna help me out? I cant seem to find anything other than off road 4x4 type sites for these trucks.

From what I have seen on nloc.net thats the best place to get good info for racing a full sized ford truck. Just hit up the Gen 1 section.

You might want to look at www.F150online.com.

ford-trucks.com is the biggest/best for the trucks except there isn't much about racing them, LOL.

Kind of like joining an SVT club with a GT. Unless perhaps you're considering buying one, why would you join? Suspension basics would be about the only thing you'd have in common.

I'll bet there isn't going to be much drag racing info on any F150 board unless it's Lightning specific, but there are e few on F150online.com who have some pretty strong combos.

Then how come there are a lot of guys on there with older F150's and even one guy with an F100. Just like any other forum you got some folks that try and act out. Most of the guys will come to your house and help you out any way thay can.

I'm on NLOC as well, as long as you don't try to make a clone and pass it off as a L they usually don't care.

I've got a 93 L, # 3008, and I'm trying to decide if I should install the Novi 1000 kit on it or sell it.

there is a wealth of info on dragracing on nloc.there is'nt much difference at all between a genI lightning and a regular f150(other than the monochromatic paint scheme and the lightning being heavier)!back in 2002 when i first started getting a little more serious about racing my f150 it would've outran atleast half the lightnings on that site and it still had a 302(8.05@87 1/8)with a stock converter and 3.55's!most people with regular f150's think they're supposed to be lifted for bogging or something of that nature!most guy's overthere are cool, just make sure you put a little thought into your questions before asking them!

I have a 94 ext cab f150 that i did a full lightning swap on and got all of the info over there. They dont care about the "r" in the vin.

Whatever!most of'em are great guy's but as i said there are several that won't give non-lightning owners the time of day and 90% of them really hate wannabe's(lightning clone's)!

Whatever back to ya. One of the most respected members over there in the gen one section doesnt own a lightning. He ownes a 80's f150 that is so well customized you almost cant see all the changes he made. Screen name is sprotruck. Now i will say i have heard that there are some gen 2 people like that but i dont ever go in that forum since i dont own one and have no need for the info in there.

What they dont like is someone making a clone and putting all the emblems and decals on the truck and telling everyone it IS a Lightning. The only things that say lightning on my truck are the seats and the intake cover.

I'm also on NLOC . The biggest thing to most of those guys is don't beat a dead horse . If you need info , they don't mind helping as long as it's not something that has been discussed a million times . Some care about cloning Ls and some do not . I have noticed alot of reg F-150 users lately and it seems the L owners don't mind helping out .

(most guy's overthere are cool, just make sure you put a little thought into your questions before asking them! ).slowfiveoh95,my apolagies for ruining your thread because someone thinks their opinion is the only opinion.i know now the saying is true, argue with an idiot and they'll take you down to their level and beat you with experience!

Im 33 and use the same name there, Thank you. You can throw insults at me all you want, i dont care. All i wanted to do is let the OP know that they can go there and ask questions without fear of being shuned because he doesnt have a R in his vin. Im done here, wont be back, so insult away. Its people like that, that make places like this suck. Try to share some info or an experience and someone has to try to shoot you down because they disagree. All i stated in my first post in this thread is not to fear the vin in responce to someone being told not to expect any help because of that vin.
