Nice Setup. At the risk of sounding dumb - what's the real advantage to going with a Clevor? Or what exactly is the weak point of running a regular cleveland bottom end? Is this Windsor stronger somehow?

Thanks,

The only thing i see people talk about is oiling, but in my 20 years palying with Clevelands, i have never had an oiling problem ever.

The Cleveland block is pretty strong in my opinion.

i dont think the windsor is stronger, it is more avalible to get your hands on and they have the ability for more CID because they have a taller deck.

Yea, I *could* see how this would be beneficial. There are several inexpensive stroker kits out there for the 351W, it's easy to get it up to 393 - which would, i think, really work well with Cleveland heads.

I've heard references to the oiling system too. I've just never seen a problem with it myself.

But, the whole clevor idea has been around much longer than the low cost stroker kits, so there must have been some issue they were trying to address with them, wasn't there?

availability of good blocks with a good oiling system. If you can find a good cleveland block that doesn't suffer from core shift and sonic checks good, use it.

The availability of cheap 351w blocks is nice though, plus many parts interchange with the 302 stuff
