God damn spiders.

I hate ####ing spiders but I will say that I think wolf spiders are pretty cool. When I was in college I was given an old couch that apparently had a wolf spider living in it. Quite often, when I was chilling out watching TV, Wolfy would emerge from the depths of the couch and sit on the opposite arm rest. We had a deal; if he didn't #### with me, I wouldn't #### with him.

Here is a Wolf Spider posing with the next generation:

Here is an interesting video that sheds some light on the behaviour of spiders:

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...ula-video.html

Of all the spiders, I think the Jumping Spiders are the most interesting:

http://tolweb.org/Salticidae

I realize most people fear, and hate spiders (somewhat irrationally), but I have always been facsinated with them, and understood their vital role in our ecology.

yep. just a wolf spider. I'd have killed it anyway. And while that one is kinda big, they do indeed get bigger.

and, as others have said, its NOT a brown recluse.

Doug, MFE saw a momma with her babies on the wall on his way to the parking garage. Took a pic, wonder if he still has it. Like snakes, spiders are cool but GTFO my house or on my person then we're all good.

Our son asked if he could let a daddy longlegs crawl on his head at our family cottage last year. I suggested that wouldn't be a cool idea. Later he walks up to me with it on his face, so I just told him to keep his mouth closed.

One day I was driving down the road. About 5 minutes into the drive I felt something pushing on my toes in my shoe...and I mean something with strength. I stopped ASAP, took off my shoe. A big ####ing wolf spider came crawling out.

Yes, the spider was big enough and had enough strength to move my toes.

I had a wolf spider the size of a fifty cent piece land on my tie one afternoon on the way to an interview. I really don't mind spider but when they sneak up and surprise you, well that's not cool. I'm getting older and the ticker ain't 20 years old any longer....

Where the #### is a can of Raid or something along them lines. The only good spider is a spider on the other side of the yard near someone else or one that is a stain on the wall/floor/or where ever a large hard object meets it.

We had a jumping spider as a sort of pet at our dropzone. He lived under the cash register at the snack shack. It was cool watching him catch houseflies. They are quick little bastards.

I don't know if this true so correct me if i'm wrong, but i've heard that daddy long leggers are the most venomous spider out there but there teeth are to small to penetrate human skin.

Looks like it by the legs but can't tell b/c of that #### on its head.

Anyway here's a fishing spider I found in my Mustang once which I do believe was the cause for that giant spider thread everyone loved

I read that also, don't know if it's tru but they are not aggresive, and look cool and don't crawl on me. I don't bother them.

No idea but that suuuucks. Regarding this spider pic, this was the only time I'd ever kept my top down w/the car in the garage and when I took the cover off one morning this fugger was staring at me. Thankfully that was the only one.
