MMR CAI vs JLT

Has anyone had any experiences with either? The JLT is more money but didn't know what ppl thought of either one of them.

Never used MMR but I have a JLT intake on my '08 GT500 and it's a real nice piece.

I think you will find both kits are going to work well and we are sure the JLT kit is a equally high quality product, the MMR kit is very different than most on the market, it takes its air completely from the fenderwell, and features a Full metal, lightweight, CNC Mandrel bent tube that has a very high quality powder coated finish.

Let us know if we can answer any questions for you!

I decided to go with the MMR. There aren't any instructions which is fine but removing the sound tube with a little guidance would have been nice. That 10mm nut in the firewall is a bitch to get to and remove but we were able to sneak in there with a small ratchet and deep socket.

It really opens up the engine bay and as you can see the factory set up is rather large.

Why does the JLT kit require a tune, but the MMR kit does not?
Any dyno results with the MMR kit yet?

Dont feel dumb, this is common, the reality is as you stated that the kit can be installed without instructions, it does however give some insight on certain parts that are hard to figure out. Thank you again!!

Garage
Since you guys from MMR are so responsive maybe you can help me.
I have the Ecoboost and was looking to replace the filter minimum or do something like this. 2015 Mustang ecoboost MMR Big Tube Cold Air Inlet system [635126] - $199.99 : Modular Motorsports, Home of the Worlds Fastest Modular Engines.
Do you have to take wheel off and wheel well off just to clean and install the filter? The rest I could see doing but don't have garage.

And do you have pic of the Ruby Red pipe? Thanks!!!

Liking my MMR CAI. While driving inlet tempature is 1-2 off outside tempature.
It was a plus getting rid of that Sound Tube.

The JLT CAI needs a tune because the tube size is bigger than stock so you have to let the computer know so it can calculate the incoming air correctly
