My S197 GT350

I wanted to build my own version of a GT350 on the S197 platform with 1967 Shelby GT350 stying. I still need to get a ducktail and change out the louvers and rims.

So far current mods are a Paxton Novi 1200 (intercooler & smaller pully install to be finished in a couple days), S&W UCA and LCA's, Richmond 3.73 gears, Trickflow Dif girdle, BMR adjustable panhard, Steeda short shifter, FRPP Handeling Package, 20 inch BonSpeed rims, TRCF #67 functional hood, Bassani axle backs, 07 Cobra front fascia and custom GT350 badges.

I really dig it man. Especially the hood..

Too bad you had to start with that color though.

I'm gonna be pretty upset if I end up having to murder Kenny Loggins.

I think that's a great color.

I say you stripe it! A couple of ivory white stripes should do it justice. How about those block letters on the edge of the hood like the old school Shelbys? I've seen some and it really gives them that look you're going for. Oh, go for broke and do the Silverhorse louvers. Just my 2 cents...

Dear god, don't stripe it. I love what you've done. Clean look, not too flashy and the guts under the hood to wear a Shelby badge. Rocker panel stripes would be the only ones I'd even consider.

I appreciate everyones comments, thank you. I'll be removing the GT fender badges soon and replacing them with retro Shelby Snakes.

Black Muscle, at first I thought the color Legend Lime was a bit fem but in my minds eye I could see it with the aggressive mods that would bring out the sleeper in it.

I'm too sexy for my shirt!

Vey nicely done! Not over the top. In stock form, I'm not a huge fan of the Legend Lime...however, some simple tasteful mods it can really bring out the best in that color. I'm jealous!

If you dont mind i have a quick question. You mentioned the hood is functional, do you have the ducting from the openings routing air to your filter or are they just open meaning air goes into the engine bay? Im asking because i have the Cervini's 67 Ram Air hood and i have to purchase the "functional" part of the hood seperate. Also do your openings have any grilles on them? I was surprised mine didn't have any, i can stick my hand and touch my intake manifold with the hood closed. I dont like that. I would appreciate a responce!

btw, i love what your doing especially the color. Im trying to do something similar but mine is windveil blue.

The hood has 2 panels, an inner and outer. The air enters the scoop and is channeled inbetween the panels and then is dumped at the driverside front corner of the hood over top the air box. The other vents you see are heat extractors facing the rear.

heres a pic of the underside of the hood
