Brembo brakes and LRS SVE wheels
well I just completed piecing together my Brembo kit.I was under the impression that my 10 anniversary SVE wheel from LRS would need a 1 inch spacer to clear the calipers.Well while looking around LRS's site I saw the wheels will clear the 2011 Brembos. They have a pic of them on Falken's test car.So they should clear on a 2008 with the Brembos rite?

Have you tried the 10" wheels over the Brembo brakes as well? Would be nice if they clear too, you may be able to sell them to people looking for a reasonably priced set of track wheels.
cheers Ed N.

We haven't tried the 10" wheels on the front yet. We'll have to look into that.

That would be good to know, even if they need a small spacer to reduce the backspacing for inside clearance. I have a friend with an 07 GT with the Brembos swapped on, he uses the cars for track days. Right now he has Nitto NT-05 on Steeda Ultralite 18 x 9.5", and is considering his options for a second set of wheels to put dedicated track rubber on. He was looking at the FRPP 2010 GT-500 18x 9.5" wheels, they are a good price, but if he could get 10" for all 4 corners, that would be even better.
So will you post back on to this thread when you guys get a chance to make the test fit? thx, Ed N. |

I finally got an answer and unfortunately those 18x10's will not work on the front with the GT500 brakes.

Thanks for getting back to us on that Lee. Not the answer we were looking for of course, but it's nice to be certain. Back to the 2010 GT-500 wheels ...
thx, Ed N.
