Be careful with that fuel return. The fuel coming back to the tank is aerated, the pump can pump fuel, not air. Get the return fuel out of the location of the pick up.

With the pickup at the bottom and the return at the top (where air is anyways), why it would it cause a problem? Will there be enough return pressure that it will force the air bubbles out the bottom of the return tube? If so, will there be enough suction at the pickup to suck those air bubbles in before they naturally rise to the top? Just curious, thanks.

I am just curious why you chose that location for the oil filter/oil lines. It is not well protected for a drift car. There is a high possibility that area could see a significant impact if this car gets used for tandem drifting. I prefer to locate critical parts away from expected impact zones to decrease the chance of a catostrophic failure and also increase the possibility the car will continue to operate properly the rest of the day, despite a small t-bone into the lead car.
Nice work btw, this is a very unique and interesting project to follow. Last edited by vette_559rwhp; 07-13-2012 at 04:07 AM. |

Cant say enough about your fab skills. But I have an idea of making custom front control arms for my fox! How does you setup help with steering angle? I hate doing 50 point turns in my car, lol!

What kind of tubing did you use? I'm about to V8 swap an unlikely car and want to chop the front and make my own tubular bumper/core support like you did, but don't know what kind of tubing to get or where to get it. Also, won't you require a firewall between you and the tank? That's the only thing preventing me from installing a cell exactly where yours is, I'd much rather have it in front of the rear axle's centerline than behind.
