Help!! Ticking noise on the gas??

I have been using a Zex 100 shot for about 3 months now.. Never ha a problem..... Last time i shot the nitrous, i started hearing some ticking noises.... Don't know if it is the engine or the headers..??? The thing is the car still pulled strong, but after i shut off the nitrous I tried running na, ran hard and couldn't hear any noise.... My car has a 255 pump, timing at 8 deg, stock engine, and running 93 octane.... What could be the reason for the noise???

Thanks in advance.
Rick

check the plugs for shiny speckles or black speckles that look like pepper spots. If you see any of that then it was detination. You need to check all the plugs not just one. If you do find any problems like that you probably need to take either more timing out or just run some higher octane gas.

I have a ticking noise coming from the engine bay and it's the headers. They seem to be leaking a little exhaust from one of the collectors and you can hear it, but only when you're on the gas.

That was my first assumption. I am gonna try to tighten the header bolts, and see if it continues... Something i never did since i installed them....
