1990 LX 400whp Daily Driver AC/PS/Cruise 1/8: 90mph
This car is a good find for anyone interested in a fast and proven reliable daily driver. It took me months to find this car and it has not let me down. I bought this car and drove it 1200 miles from Chicago to Deltona, Fl 32738 without a hiccup on cruise control and cold AC blowing. The previous owner did the same on an 800 mile drive from Texas to Chicago. It has been garage kept and sunny daily driven since. Overall, the car is in really great shape to be 23 years old and comes with a book of receipts. It hasn’t changed much over the years; please reference the past two owner’s ads for anything I may have missed. Let me know if you would like more pictures. Thanks!

I did not dyno the car again, but after the plug fix it picked up 4mph in the 1/8 and almost 6 in the ¼. I’d guess it to be a back around 400whp+ now that it pulls all the way to 6k. I recreationally made about 8 passes at the track this past summer. These were granny shifting and light launches on street tires or the 555Rs. -12at109_before_plugs_nWires.JPG – This was the 86mph 1/8 and 109 ¼ after the 372/394 lamotta dyno -12at114.JPG – 89 1/8 and 114.7 ¼ after new plugs and .025 gap -8at90.JPG – 90mph 1/8 after new plugs and .025 gap Engine Details: -306 ci stock block (block was boiled, bored, new bearings, basic machine work, balanced and new freeze plugs installed before rotating assembly was installed, have all receipts) -Keith Black pistons w/ plasma cut boost rings, Hawk rods, Forged Crank (motor was assembled in 06 and installed sometime in 07) -Trick Flow Top end kit(see receipt pic in google docs link)....Twisted Wedge Heads, Street Heat intake manifold, 1.6RRs… ( however is does have a E303 cam instead of the Trick Flow cam, I believe this was for emissions) -P1SC Procharger air to air intercooler, blow off valve, anderson power pipe...currently @ 10lbs of boost --75mm Accufab throttle body -255 lph fuel pump 42 lbs injectors -05 Slot style MAF -SCT Chip with rotary dial Dallas mustang(0) and Lamotta tune(1) -Aluminum radiator, slim electric fan with adjustable box Msd ignition- MSD Blaster Coil, MSD A6 box, MSD cap and rotors -BBK shorty headers, Off road h-pipe, Magnaflow Mufflers Drivetrain: -Ford racing T-5 -Centerforce Clutch -Pro 5.0 Shifter -8.8 with hardened axles, eaton posi and diff cover girdle -3.73 gears Interior: -Rear mount battery in aluminum box -3 gauge piller pod with oil press, boost and water temp -Cd player and aftermarket speakers -Monster rpm tach -KZ Rear seat delete, the front of the kit was replaced with gray tweed seats. It was sold to a friend. I still may be able to buy this back. -Fatmat sound deadener Exterior: -93 4-lug cobra rims (rear tires are Nitto 555R DR's, low miles) -Cervinis Cobra R hood -Will also come with low mileage street tires for rear Suspension: -Koni shocks -Subframe connectors -Camber plates New: -Battery -Gatorback supercharger belt -Plug wires and NGK BKR6E plugs gapped at .025 -Fully synthetic oil change at 71089 -Serp belt and idler pulley at 71249 -180 Thermostat last week 15x,xxx miles – New motor around 2007 166,000 miles 01/11 – Texas owner sale 168,000 miles 06/12 – Chicago owner sale 172,xxx miles today – Current reading 02/18/13 Edits -Mileage is now at 173,100 -Forgot Milodon oil pan, oil pump pick up, dip stick and summit high volume, standard pressure oil pump 02/19/13 Edits A few drives ago the PS pump started to whine with rpms. A few drives ago the PS pump started to whine with rpms. It was low in fluid, I added some and it was still whining after a local cruise last night.
