1986 Mercury Capri 5.0 H.O. 5spd. 35k original documented miles , garaged since new. 100% rust free original car. Factory black/charcoal exterior & canyon red interior. Extremely clean original car , no modifications ever , original paint , original interior , date coded 1986 plug wires , air silencer still in fender , etc. All options except , cruise control & power locks. This car has had extremely good care since new. I also have all of the documents and receipts since new. Possibly one of the nicest '86 Capri 5.0L's still around.

Wait, so you didn't buy my 93, but you bought it from the guy I sold it to? If thats correct, you bought it on ebay, right? Whats funny is I bought that car with 62K miles or so for 7K. I drove it a year and a half, put about 10K on her, and didn't do one thing except for oil. Because I was moving to FL, I mentioned selling it. I couldn't bare bring it here as my DD without a garage. Anyway, the buyer make an offer of $6,500. I couldn't pass up only being out $500, so I took it. 6 months or so after I moved here, I then find my old 93 on ebay, and if I remember correctly, I think it brought $7,600 or so.

Anyway, what ever happened to it? I take it that you sold it as well? The car was clean as hell when I had it, I just REALLY hated the undercoating on it.

No , I bought it from the kid that you sold it to in Topsfield , Mass. , I then sold the car on Ebay after I drove it for the summer. I put tires on it , pulled the smog pump off , had the edge of the drivers seat repaired , changed the doorpanels(had holes from tweeters) , cleaned it , and that about it. It was a very clean car! I gave him $5500. for the car , but I put some money into it. I sold it due to not having any place to store it , but I wish I had held onto it. It had 79k on it when I sold it.

Thanks! I recently purchased the car from a gentleman that had owned the car since August of 1988.

Another NICE Fox you have! LOL!

Good Seller here guys - answers questions about his vehicles in a timely fashion and is very nice to deal with based on previous discussions we had about another vehicle he was selling.

Best of luck w/ the sale of this Capri - that car is IMMACULATE!

Did you happen to post it on foureyedpride yet? You might get some interest from the Capri folks on there.

Also, try posting it on gonedragracing.com - lots of east coast guys on that forum as well.

back TTT for ya!

whitevert88 - Car is a factory 5spd car.

Thanks Cobra Jet NJ

I truly haven't been trying to hard to sell the car , I like it alot. It is a super nice orginal car. If I do not get what I feel the car is worth , it will just stay in the garage.

my buddys got an 86 with out the t-roof like that. not sure how true it is but he says its 1 of 94 capris produced in 86 with the 5.0 5spd and no t-roof. so it looks like yours is really rare.

it's the "96 in 86" rumor, which has been dispelled over on Four Eyed Pride (http://www.foureyedpride.com). I too own an 86 with no roof options, plus no factory radio of which only 302 of the capri's produced received the no radio option.

You can't? Two reasons; it's January and the economy is in the crapper. When April hits, this car will move.
