So I am now a proud owner of a 2004 Chevrolet 1500 with a 4.8L with 5 speed. The owner rolled it and truck was a complete loss...The good thing is the motor, transmission, ecm, and wiring were not damaged. So my plans are to transplant everything over to a bare 1986 chassis. The plan is to reuse the UPR k-member and most of the factory parts on the truck. Might have to ditch the 5 speed idea and go with a 3 speed auto. If I can get the motor in and running, then plans are a small single turbo and small cam for giggles later on down the line. The biggest question is ..has anybody used a factory k member or in my case a UPR k member under their LS swaps?
