Frank - call if you need anything.
--- Taking my altima in to see if I can get the trunk pulled out some and get it to latch properly...I think i'm just gonna leave it beat up so I can put some more money into the new rear suspension and drivetrain setup in the notch!

Frank I am really, really sorry for the loss of your little one as I cannot imagine what you are going through. Our prayers are definitely with you and Val.
I was going to post an update on Kate but really that's pretty insignificant at the moment. Rest in peace Payton. |

I will post an update on Chaos at a more appropriate time.

I will take some pics in the morning. Tonight was the maiden voyage of Chaos. By the 2nd pass we were running 10.73's@124. We found out that the top squiters were not working on the carb. So we were running on half fuel basically. More importantly, every pass was straight as an arrow. It didn't even feel like I was going a buck and a quarter. I could not be more pleased with tonight's results.

Good morning everyone!
John - sounds like good news. 10.7's @ 124 is hooking and rolling out. Cant wait to see the thing runny on full fuel! LT

Good morning all. Frank I'm glad to hear you and Val are being strong for one another but you know that if either of you need anything at all that we are all here for you.
John that sounds great. If you got any video of the runs then link them up! Kate really likes the new KC system. We have a guage that measures the IC temps AFTER it comes through the intercooler (so it's been heated up) and around town the gauge reads 64 to 78 degrees and even when I get on it she stays around 80 degrees. So the fluid temp going into the intercooler after getting chilled by the kit must be 30 or 40 degrees if that's what it's registering coming out. The cabin a/c is still ice cold at 40 degrees, as I measured that as well. When its really hot and humid I can shut the car down for a 1/2 hour and when I start it back up the gauge will read 110 degrees (because the fluid has heat soaked) but you can watch the temperature drop all the way down into the 70 degree range in a matter of minutes of driving and running the system. We also have a switch that will shut off the a/c to the cabin so that all cooling is going to the KC and supposedly that will cool it down even more but I haven't tried that yet. Coming in on the highway this morning had the temps down to 59 degrees. Tim D. as usual did an excellent job and over-engineered it to perfection. I was talking to a guy who has the kit on his Kenne Bell GT500 which was featured in 5.0 magazine recently and he runs a 3 gallon tank (mine is one gallon) and he isn't even seeing as good of results as what I am which I'm sure is due in part to me running a TVS blower and him running the bigger, hotter KB, but I also think its because Tim D. made sure all lines were wrapped and everything done right. |

Great updates on both Kate and Chaos! Nothing new here... Mr. Truck has been the receiver of my car OCD lately... Been spending time cleaning it up and it honestly passes for a very low mileage truck... The 94 just keeps getting cleaner and cleaner with little touches...
I will be going down to TN soon to get the 96 running. I'll probably work on the fox as well

How is it when you got every last part for a project car and swear you don't need anything else. Then somthing comes up forsale and it is a screaming deal and your like, I need that.
But then your like, uh maybe I will wait till winter. Then your like hmm, but if I buy a beater and keep the cobra I could use it on it. But then on the fox I could probably pull a stoppy. |

I just steer away from the classifieds section unless I'm specifically looking for something - saves a lot of money and "car thought justifications"

Whatever, the classified section paid for the whole car. If it wasn't cruising and finding killer deals and flipping them I would have nothing. The whole thing was done only using a budget of $200 a month and swap parts buys and sells. That is my favorite part, that not one credit card was used. That is why it has never been a burden. It is not like the people that go out and use a credit card or take a personal loan to build a car. It is like the last part, I had the cash in my budget. Now if I need more money then it is time to sell some stuff. I got all my stuff still from the durham garage sale and I have 3 kinds of shifter, 10 shifter handles. Parts are better then a savings account or the stock market.
As the saying goes "you gotta spend money to make money". |

hehe, I was just bustin' your chops. That's pretty cool that you could do it with so little money. I've been doing that with the fox as well. I have very very little in that car

Good morning everyone!!!
TGIF!!!! This has been a long week and I am glad the weekend is almost here!!! Frank, hope you and Val are doing well. I dont think we can say it enough, but we are all here for you so do not be afraid to ask if you need anything. I have been trying to track down an issue with the cobra and right now I am on a theory that the battery and/or alternator is not keeping up and not supplying enough power under WOT acceleration. So I am going to start with the battery and then maybe put an alternator in it. The battery is orignial so it is due to be replaced, which is why I am going to start there. I am also going to put new plugs in as well to make sure that they are not an issue either. I figure that is a simple and fairly cheap thing to try. So, does anyone know anything about any of the upgraded/high amp alternators that are available. I have been trying to get a NEW one from Ford but they are all remanufactured now. I also thought that if I stepped up to a 170-200 amp alternator as opposed to the stock 110-130 amp it may help with running all my pumps and other crap. I have read some not so good reviews of the PA Performance alternators, so I am going to steer clear of them, but have found http://www.nationsautoelectric.com/highampford.html, http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/ford1.html, and http://www.mean-green.com/products/alternator.html. Normally, I would just have mine rebuilt by the guy my dad as always used but he closed up shop and retired last year! Any suggestions, opinions, etc. woudl be helpful! LT

I think this is total BS.. some people are going to lose their jobs!!
Indianapolis — During a news conference Thursday afternoon, Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said the blood alcohol test performed on Officer David Bisard, is not admissable in court. As a result, all DUI charges against Officer Bisard will be dropped. The prosecutor's office is still pursuing three other charges against Bisard, including reckless homicide and criminal recklessness. Bisard is accused in a fatal crash that killed a man, and injured two others. The blood alcohol test in question showed that Bisard was intoxicated more than twice the legal limit (.19 BAC). Join the conversation! Register at Fox59.com and post pictures, comment on stories and sign-up for newsletters and alerts. Also during the news conference, Public Safety Director Frank Straub said he will be asking the FBI to assist with the investigation. He also mentioned another IMPD officer who was in charge of the DUI investigations has been removed. In that fatal crash, 30-year-old Eric Wells was killed. Two others, Mary Mills and Kurt Weekly were seriously injured.

Frank - So sorry to hear about your loss my friend, you and Val will be in my thoughts.
About that cop, atleast they didn't drop all the charges. If he ends up doing 20 i'll be fine with that. Anything less and I think the cops where helping the guy out. Again, I know it sucks ballz but dumb stuff does happen as long as he does some long jail time I am fine with it. I don't really care what the charge him with. Do the time and i'm good.
