1987 Hatchback Street/Strip build
Well, 3 years after I got rid of my beloved 88 hatchback I picked up this gem for 1600 bucks. Serving in Iraq currently I am having a buddy hold on to the car and work on it when he's bored.
![]() From what I can tell it was raced as there are receipts for a new door, and quarter panel.. I believe it gave the wall a love tap. Also more than a few modifications. I haven't had my buddy pull the diff cover yet. But I'm pretty sure there's a spool in there. ![]() ![]() The Body has a little bit of surface rust, and I need to reconstruct the rear 1/4 wheel well and do some cleanup on the sunroof. wheel wells look like this ![]() ![]() Theres the sunroof. The only other issues are minor. Minus the need for a new transmission. ![]() I will post more pics as I get them. -Chris |

Well, progress was made. The old trans was frigged up pretty bad. I bought a new used NWC t-5 until I can afford a tremec. But it runs and drives now.
Cant wait to try it out. Only a few weeks to go! |
