my ignition is completely stock, ive heared of people having trouble with aftermarket dizzy's (MSD), so i kept the stocker, and i havent had a need for an ignition upgrade yet and im at 10# of boost.

It depends on how you define best. Stock TFI distributor is great if you want no hassle, and adding an MSD type box with the stock distributor is a good low cost upgrade if you have spark blowout. But a crank fired setup with a 36-1 wheel (like on a later Explorer) is a lot more accurate, and I've seen significant power gains from switching from a distributor trigger to crank fired. It seems that a set of LS1 coils is at least as hot as an MSD 6 box, and something like our IGN-1As are even hotter - I've seen those light off over 250 horsepower per cylinder.
