Perhaps at some point a company will offer up a complete kit to get this swap done on a fox body. Complete as in whatever is needed to do the job right with as little fabrication as possible. Something like a k-member, headers, EEC and harness, and addressing the accessories...

I'm doing this swap in my 93. Already have the suspension and am working on the hydroboost brakes, power steering and such. www.93coupe.com

I was interested in the BBK headers but I just cant bring myself to spend that much money on headers that aren't stainless. I'll wait for stainless or have some custom made.

Thanks. It's a long process, that's for sure I hope to get some work done over the weekend.

Hey Jeff. I am VERY interested in doing this swap as well. Can you give me any details as to how you started this? Like first steps, any details on install etc..? I was actually thinking of selling my 89 for newer technology until I saw this swap was possible. You can PM me or I can keep checking this thread. Do you have any pics?

There are a few guys who are actually either done or very close to done with the swap:
2011 5.0 Crate Engine Plans - 93Coupe.com

There's a 94 Cobra and an 01(I think?) Bullitt that also has the swap completed. The 94 Cobra is a DD and I'm certain he has put the most miles on it, compared to anyone else.

I had purchased an engine for mine but the guy had issues shipping it so I had to call the police to get my money back. Since then, I decided to complete the suspension (MM Max Grip) and figure out some of the other quirks, like the power steering and hydroboost brakes. I already have the entire suspension and should be installing that over the next couple of weeks. The actual engine will be one of the last things I purchase.
