Vic Jr 2v Intake
I'm currently running the mods in my sig with an aluminum flywheel and driveshaft. I have the suspension set up for drag racing and right now I'm running a 150 shot on a window switch. I've heard that the Vic Jr loses power on bolt on cars at the bottom and makes a little more up top, but I've also heard that's debatable. I've seen a few posts with cars that were just bolt on's but also running a 125-150 shot and they liked the manifold quite a bit with the nitrous. Problem is I haven't seen many comments on the exact feel of the manifold at low end and at high end, and the one that I seen saying that the low end dropped off had stock gears. I have 4:10's and although I don't want to take a hit on the low end while n/a, I wouldn't mind sacrificing a minimal amount in exchange for a little more up top, which is where you're at when you're drag racing anyway. If anybody with a similar setup could give some answers/opinions on this stuff that would be great and also tell me what you think about the gains with the manifold while on the spray. Eventually I'll be going full build with either a 250 shot or a Vortech, so I'll need the manifold sooner or later. Also I have 2 bad injectors so I'm replacing my injectors and the Vic Jr manifold only works with the Edelbrock rails if I recall correctly, but the Edelbrock rails don't fit the stock manifold. So now wouldn't be a bad time to do it all together if it's worth it, but if the low end hit is too much I'll wait. Thanks.
