COP Conversion Harnesses now available!!!!
Hey guys finally developed the harness for the GT SOHC Motors. I have been making these for Cobras for awhile and have had nothing but success.
Ill get pics up later tonight. I have a harness that would allow 96-98 Mustang GT owners to ditch the EDIS coils and spark plug wires and run Coil On plug ignition. You would just need my harness and any SOHC Ford COPS and you would be set. No Splicing!!! Plug and Play This is a complete plug and play harness so you can run COP's on your 96-98 GT. This means if you ever have any problems, you can just un-plug it and throw your stock coils and wires on so you can still drive your car. NO SPLICING OF YOUR FACTORY HARNESS!!!!!. It plugs into the EDIS connectors or better known as the Coil Pack Connections. These will be $145 shipped to your door. They look similiar yet slightly different then the Cobra harness. Heres a link to the cobra ones i made with no problems whatsoever. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...e-shortly.html PM me or post up if you want one and ill get you paypal info.

Harness
I bought one, mainly to clean up the engine bay, but I also wanted it to work with my MSD ignition and coil adpt's without having to cut and splice the harnesses. the monster hooked me up with a custom plug and play COP harness that incorporates the MSD harness, Tach adpt.'s, & COPS, and I will say his workmanship & craftmanship is second to none! I would use him for all my custom wiring needs, even the wire's were color cordinated.
GREAT JOB MAN! |

Just got my harness in the mail. Looks good, I would not have had the patience to make it look like this. I bought coils, and he even sent the bolts to hold the coils down.

Damn I just purchased new packs and wires...
Swapping to COPS really cleans up the bay and I have been tempted to do this for years. Follow the link in my sig to SN95 FORUMS. You will probably find a few there who would want this. |

I'm very interested in this
Do you have the harness available? Also, I will need COP's for a 2v? Do you have any new COP's available that you can sell as a package? And if I understand correctly...I currently run MSD coil packs with MSD spark plug wires...I could ditch the coil packs/wires and just replace them with the new harness/COP's??? correct? Does this affect anything mechanical wise on the vehicle and is this setup able to handle 600rwhp?

I wanna ho the other way around... Cop's to two coils. Easier to make rev.
I have 2 98 harnesses laying here, but they don't have FRPS and I don't feel like building a custom harness.

from all the research i have done, both are waste spark systems and the ECU will control both types. And even if i did, i have both 98 ECU's too.
COP's dont like to spark above 7200ish though, twin coils perform better at those elevated rpm levels.

I'm interested.
I just swapped a 2004 factory motor into my 97 Gt and wanted to keep the COP. I used my old 97 wiring harness and used MSD Coils with Taylor wires. I still have 8 brand new COP's that I would love to use. I'd like to see some more pictures. How do these connect to my 97 harness? |

Curious to know if simply switching to the COP's would allow the use of a 2 step on 96-98's? Or is there a way to set this up another way? Sorry if this is headed off track.
