AOD overdrive on/off switch or button help??

I converted over to an AOD and do not know how I am supposed to hook up the overdrive on/off switch. Any info would be appreciated. It is an AOD not electronic and has a single blue wire for the on/off switch or button. I don't know how to hook it up but would like to get it fixed today. Do I have to use a switch, intermittent button, or what? Thanks
Rick Thornton

Early AOD's are not dependent on an electric switch for O/D on/off. Yours must be a later model one. I posted a link to a site with lots of AOD tranny information. Maybe it can be of help to you.

No help there. This is just like an AOD that came in late fox bodies. Someone has to know how to hook up an overdrive button/switch on it...

Does it have a Lentech or other aftermarket valve body? If you it does then you just hook a 12v toggle switch to it. When the switch is on it acts as on overdrive delete.. When the switch is off it kicks into overdrive automatically at around 60 mph based on the tv.

You will be happy with the Lentech valve body. Just run the 12v toggle switch to the one wire on the tranny and you will be good to go.

I used one of those round toggle switches and placed it where my cigarette lighter used to be. Once you remove the cigaretter lighter element, the round toggles fit perfectly and you can close your ashtray door cover right over it so its not seen. Looks pretty nice too.
