Are Napa Gold oil filters wix filters?
I heard the wix are great oil filters, I've been told that napa golds are the same as wix, is this true?

I run a Napa gold on my blown 347. Just as good as a FMS filter.

Wix makes the NAPA gold oil filters not about the others.

X2. I worked at Napa for 5 years. You have no idea how many times I had to explain that the Silver line filters are junk and gold filters are good ones.

This is true, lowest bidder gets the contract. Yrs ago I had saved a good writeup on all the filters, the guy who did the research cut them all open and compared them. Lost that hard drive and all the cool stuff I saved.

Carquest might also be too but then again could be purolator too I know Napa gold is not sure about the budget or silver as I think they call it Hell I always use a good old FL-1A on the stang and the 150 and Fram Tough guard on my cherokee and Ram. But wix does make a good filter all we used at the shop for a long time then changed to crappy valvoline filters. Or whatever is cheap at the autozone nextdoor scary isn't it what people "boss" will do to save money.

I run nothing but wix on all of my engines, but wouldn't hesitate to put a motorcraft anything on my car. To the original question, Wix makes Napa gold filters.

I know the Carquest blue filters are for sure Wix. They are listed in this online ordering for our shop as wix/carquest. Not too sure on the reds, though some of the online listings have the same wix/carquest listing by the red filters.

most are pretty good..
only way to know for certain is to cut one apart with the filter cutter tool.... name stuff like K&N or wix or ford motorcrap is standard level of continual quality level...untill they wanna save another 5 cents... during this time of economic change,.....we never know when they might change how the oil filters are made...
