I think they may have moved from their Jim Beam location. At least when I passed the building today it had a for rent sign on top. maybe they finally went out.

Wow, I can't believe all the negative reviews for this company! I bought a hood from them a few years ago and got it in two weeks via Roadway, my painter had zero issues with it, there are zero fitment issues with it and I have never had it blow up on me at freeway speeds (and faster)....

I guess they must have built the majority of peoples hoods on a Friday!!!

I am sure I will now get flamed for actually having a positive experience with this company!

I just spoke with a company by the name of Liberty Fiberglass in Cincinnati. First he answered the phone "hello" without stating the companies name along with kids yelling in the background.

I asked him if he was associated with Champion or Cincinnati, etc. and he said no which I find hard to believe.

He said that he would stand behind his product for only 30 days. Also he mentioned that his feedback on ebay "hoods4sale" speaks for itself. Unfortunately feedback is an initial review of the product not two months later when the latch fails and the hood goes through the windshield and damages everything in his path.

He then proceeded to say that he is like McDonald's in that they are not the best but people buy it because it get them by. I then told him that it does not sound like he stands behind is products.

I then started to question him about his business and he stated that he runs his office out of his home with his Daycare along with his shop molding hoods.

After all this unraveled he said that I should take my business elsewhere and then hung up on me.

People like this just kill me. They don't realize that customer service is 90% of the business.

I am just looking to find a quality "wide" cowl hood for a 95 mustang.

Hope this clears the air on some questions.

Thanks for the tip! I was back on the search for the same hood you're looking for (I'm assuming you want the single step cowl that Cervinis makes)
and I was directed to that site. I was going to call on Monday but now that I know it's Hoods4sale, I won't be touching it.

my grandpa has had good experience from champion fiberglass, 11.70 drag car with no pins. hood fits good, only damage on hood is from dragging it around the garage while working on car. it is a bolt on. the hood is now at 10.7 with pins because latch cable broke, too much use trying to get blower to work. i plan to buy a champion fiberglass hood too. good company from what i have seen

Wonder why they stay in business? After all the warnings, watch the geniuses at events that keep buying their garbage.

Awesome sticky. I actually had 2 tabs open, one being ebay where I was a few seconds away from hitting "Confirm purchase" on a SVO hood from hoods4sale. The other tab was here at the Corral and just happened to glance and see this thread. Good save corral.

They are now called "Champion" and also split out to another company "Liberty" Same Junk, different Names !

I hear horror strories every week about these hoods... People think becasue they are cheaply priced and they "look" like a hood that they are the same as everything else out on the market.

The truth to the matter is these hoods "Champion" are beyond poor qaulity and require many hours of prep time to get them "Close" to looking good and close to "fitting"..

The truth is ... only maybe three of the companies out there that produce hoods are made of good qaulity and actually "FIT"

Do research before you make a purchase. you will be glad you did.

I bought one of hese hoods 1 1/2 years ago. when i recieved it i was pissed it was an unfinished hood. i spent three hours da'ing the hood before i sent it to my buddy to paint. he spent countless hours finishing this hood. the finished product looks very ok. for all the work that went into this hood i am not happy with it. It has a few bubbles in it now that are starting to pop up. i have hood pins on the hood and so far it has not failed but i would never recommend this company to anyone.

What a great thread! I too got ripped off by these guys and find it amazing they are still at it after at least 7 years of bad publicity. I bought a 4th gen camaro SS hood from Hood4sale on Ebay and its a waste of fiberglass.

If it makes you guys feel any better, ive been posting on every forum i can find for weeks about their ****ed up hoods to let people know. . . . . . . . . . . . . . and e-mailing Liberty with links to every thread i post. Heh heh.

Champion Hoods are being listed on Craig's list all over the place. They were also in Moultrie GA back in Feb 10. Their business card says they are located at 7706 Anthony Wayne Avenue Cincinnati OH 45216 (Doug and Susan) website is www.championhood.com. And to think, I considered buying a hood from them.

Boss Inc hoods are excellent quality and great people to do business with. I have spoke with the owner on several occasions.

Besides Cervini, What is the best place to get a Cobra R hood for the money for a 94 GT? Looking to spend less that the $625 from Cervini. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks for any help?

Harwood is a top quality hood, but preparation is a nightmare. The hoods aren't finished...for shipping purposes. My ass! It's cheaper for them not to finish it. I have one and it fits perfect....thanks to my body guy.

Its vfn in addison il there stuff is pretty decent

I just happened to catch this thread out of the corner of my eye and im glad its a "sticky" so I will share my wonderful experience with this ####hole company when they were cinncinnati composite so years ago my brother got his first mustang and decided he wanted to build it and make it look nice he saved up 8gs of his money and bought a mint bimini blue notch with only 60k miles on it the car was gorgeous anyways he wanted a hood and liked the way the cincinnati hood looked at the time I had never heard anything about this company mind you guys this was in 2000 so we figured let's order a hood from them well we did and here's what happened I called and spoke to the lady on the phone and she stated that they had the cowl hood in stock and it would ship out on monday cause thay had to crate it up and we would have it for the following weekend so we figure ok sweet we make an appointment with our body guy who is just plain badass with paint, well needless to say the hood never showed so I finally get ahold of somebody on the phone and they tell me that they never said the hood was instock which I asked the girl on the phone a few different times and that's when she said it would be here before the weekend so now its a screaming match on the phone due to the guy being a dick saying "nobody" has hoods in stock so needless to say we had to get visa involved because the jerkoff didn't want to refund the money without a 30% restocking fee for a hood that he probably never made we eventually got the money back but it was a real pain in the ass anyways #### this guy and all his bull#### company's glad to see this post thanks corral!

Horrible company for sure they make all their money in returns. I returned mine and still lost 150.00 for a restocking fee plus shipping that place is a joke.
