Unhappy 2004 mustang wont start

2004 v6 wont start after removing dash and replacing it no fuel and cooling fan comming on dash guages acting crazy

you got the wrong dash

pats??

put a scan toll on and see uf there is comm to dash module

theft light is blinking cant get it to reset i pulled dash to replace ac evap

then you have a bad connection

put a scan tool on it

if you don't have one, take it to someone that does

got codes says d262 missing scp message 9681 pats signal not recieved

besides double checking wiring

a proper scan tool and lab scope is necessary to see the signal or lack there of

maybe you fried a module

who knows

without proper tools everything is just guess work.

update found broke wire at pats trans sponder fix it but still the same shorted fuel tank conector think i messed up pcm thats why cooling fan on can i get new pcm flashed to vin or does dealer need to program keys also swaped out ccrm

i think pcm bad . shorted at fuel tank pump cooling fan on

well tell me the steps you would take dont want to go to dealer. ive checked fuses all good . changed ccrm because cooling fan on with key on . and found broke wire at pats transponder conection. got codes at gauge read out

first step,

is SCAN TOOL

need to KNOW what info is missing on the CAN-BUS ...

OR

if you have a lab scope, and KNOW what the signal, digital pulses, are needed then you could try that difficult route.
