89 engine harness into 87 LX

I'm getting ready to start a Mass Air conversion on my 87LX & am using a engine harness & A9L computer from a 89 car. My 87 did not have cruise control, so it has no speed sensor in it currently & plan on installing one, just so I don't have any issues or codes being thrown in the computer. I would like the check engine light to work also. I have tried searching this forum & the net in general trying to find the info I need & can't really find what I'm looking for. Are all the plugs & everything I need already in my car & what all do I need to make everything work as it should in a 89? I'm trying to avoid cutting up a bunch of wiring & would prefer to use factory type parts if & where possible. Thanks in advance

You might try contacting intereactive systems and technology. THey make a mass air conversion harness. They are one of the few that strongly suggest the VSS and fuel pressure parts be done as well. I think they sell just a VSS kit AND INSTRUCTIONS. If anyone can help, they can.
