Speaking to the wiring stuff, I was out to check it out sunday. I went out to put the rocker arms and pushrods back in the motor, and re-prime the thing in anticipation of actually starting this motor again after it sitting for over a year. I also changed out the rear centers on the welds, so the wheels now match!
![]() These may look a little messy at the moment, but I can assure you Mike is doing a killer job! ![]()

I HATE wiring. That looks good, but in my eyes, looks like a headache! LOL
Again, the car looks great!

No, I didn't, and it was because Mike pretty much spear headed the whole wiring thing. I think he knows Bob at spaghetti menders so that was his first choice. I just didn't insist something else was used. I was going to be happy with it just being relays! But Mike didn't want to deal with all the wires, he was super concerned with it ending up looking too messy! lol So he suggested the relay blocks. It would clean things up, plus save on hours in the instal. So the cost of the relay blocks ends up being pretty much a push in the grand scheme of things. Plus they make diagnostics a breeze!

Depending on where in MD you are, you might want to talk to Wayne at competitive wiring. I was going to use that guy if it wasn't going to work out with Mike. Wayne is in NJ by english town raceway. I'm in Stafford, basically just south of the Quantico marine base and it takes me about 3 hours to get to Mike's place in the southern west part of VA. So if you're by Baltimore it might be closer just to head north.

Well, I should be bring my car home later today. I can't wait to see the finished wiring job. It'll be great to see and promptly take it all back out to have the interior done. Of which is on deck custom carpet and modifiying the stock door panels.
I have a slot to get that done Monday! Sweet!

I just read thru all 15 pages....I must say, that is one sick ass car. The attention to detail is what I really like to see. I can't stand seeing race car's that are just hacked up. Very Very Very nice work.

On a side note, I got my car on some scales although it was with no fuel, water, nitrous bottles, no interior, or wiring. But it gives me a good idea of where I'll be without driver.
Any guesses?

Thanks again. It should be out of the interior shop tomorrow. I can't wait to see it. Then back out for final tidy up on the wiring. Then lastly it gets scaled and aligned. Boom! Ready for some passes!

There's WAY more than just doors going on to get this thing light! But it's a good way to get some weight out of these things. I HIGHLY recommend HO Fibertrend doors if you want to keep functional windows. If you want to have fixed windows, glasstech doors are really nice too.

I got the car home and there's much to still be done. And I keep shooting myself in the foot. I almost hate to admit it, but my ignorance may cost me a crankshaft. For anyone that doesn't know ( I didn't) a oil filter feeds from the outside and returns from the middle! Keep that in mind if you're using a remote mount filter.
So, I'll leave it at that, and hope that I didn't hurt anything being ignorant.

Thanks-
Well, the foot shooting seems to be done and I think I've found the bugs. It seems to be running pretty strong. I'll see about shooting a short vid of it in my disaster of a garage. I've got about a solid day, day and a half's worth of work then it's ready for an alignment and scaling. Then off to the track!

This thing ought to be ready to shake down any day now! I don't see the doors on HO's website, did you have to call them? I'm considering them and the rear deck lid for my car before it gets painted.
