Thanks for the compliments!

I went out to the car today to drop off the stuff for getting it wired and to switch out the wheels.

Dig the custom tool tray that slides into a couple mounts that are in the core support.

Got the headers on

Looks just like a stock door!

Same for the rear hatch, it even looks like its got real glass in it

Now for some new front wheel glamor! lol

Do you have a fiberglass hatch or a steel hatch? Looks like steel to me. Can't tell a difference in the glass for sure. James

The doors and hatch are fiberglass. And the hatch has lexan in it.

I thought so too. The polished stuff was just a little too much "bright" for the set-up.

How did you put the stock molding back on the hatch? I have a fiberglass hatch also but mine doesn't look like it is fitted as well as yours. I like the stock molding. I hope my lexan looks as good as yours. Is your hatch a Harwood? James

I have to give all the credit to the paint guy Terry Harris. He had to notch the lexan like 30 times to be able to get the stock trim clips in there. I also think he riveted all the stock clips back into the hatch.

The hatch itself is an HO fibertrend piece as are the doors. I believe they are the best stuff out there. Fitment is killer!!!!!

I might have to give them a try. Not that my Harwood looks bad, but, I am a perfectionist. lol I may even need to have your body guy do my hatch...I'll ask Bruce 'O if he can do it. Bruce did a fantastic job on the paint though. James

Did he have to take off some fiberglass where the top latch hinge is to get the hatch flush with the roof? I did on my Harwood and it sticks up maybe a 1/16th or an 1/8th inch too high still. It looks as though yours fits perfectly! James

Yeah, it did need to be trimmed up there. Thanks again, but I have to give credit for that fitment to the chassis guy. A dude named Chris Cheeks, a local guy around me. He mounted the doors and hatch, but Terry did have to tweak some of the stuff Chris did. Like getting the rear trim to fit, getting all the door trim all squared away.

Awesome looking car. Love the color. Do you have or could you post pictures of the front of the car without the nose on it? Like to see how you have it framed up. Thanks.

Be careful with the oil filter mounting outside the frame rail. I believe there is a rule prohibiting that.

The car looks fantastic!

Thanks! If you go back a couple pages in this thread you should see what you're looking for. There are a few shots of how things went together on the nose.

Thanks! I don't know of any rule about having something like that on the outside of a frame rail. If that's the case I'd have to move the trans cooler too. The only thing I'm kind of woorried about that might need to be addressed at some point is the fuel cell. I think it's a "touch" boarder line. It's pretty much right even with what's left of the core support. I might not have quite enough protection arouns it. i'll find out when I try and go through tech of an NHRA unleashed event! lol

It wasn't an oil filter, it was something about oil lines. I could be mistaken though. I'd hate to see you get turned around at tech after all that hard work.

I went back and looked up the rule today. I should be good. you're not allowed to have a oil filer out side the frame rail and or steel fender. My fenders are steel so I "should" be good to go. But thanks for the heads up, that had me scratching my head!! lol

Did he use screws to hold the lexan in or is the trim holding it in place? Could I get this guy's (tim Harris) contact info? Thanks! James

I had a glass hatch. Deff must bolt the window in or it will come out. I learned the hard way.

Car looks good. Hope to make it out to MIR second weekend of july to watch.

Here's a pic I was texted by the guy doing the wiring on the car. This is a prospective mock up of how the electronics will be laid out.

Thanks! I'm not too sure on the shake down date just yet. All I can say is ASAP!! lol It's looking like it's going to be another week before I pick it up from the wiring guy. So as soon as I get it back from him, I need to find a guy to do custom carpet and cover the alum door panels i'm getting for it.
