My favorite new tv show-"Street Outlaws"

I watched "Street Outlaws for the first time tonight, seems pretty good, they make alot of false claims but I can over look that. My favorite is the Farm truck.

I think there are fast street cars in most states, but the word "Street Car" is used loosely. Still a cool new show.

That farm truck has been to numerous events in the dallas area and even came down to houston for a Pinks all out race. It may look ratty outside, but under the hood is all business.

They don't try to pretend that those cars are "street" cars, they are race cars that are raced on the "street". That #1 car is probably a mid 4 second 1/8 mile car on the track.

Chuck's white mustang has been known to go bottom 5s on the track.

Watched it tonight. Not what I consider street racing.
Slicks, race suit, and helmet are not needed.
Radials, tag, and insurance are.

When you're driving mid 4sec. cars, I don't care if it's on the track/street/snow/water, it's only smart to suit up.....

Exactly!! I guess this guy doesn't have a fast car LOL. After seeing a buddy get t-boned on the race track and two very nice mustangs completely destroyed, I now make sure I put on all my safety gear now, whereas previously the window net would usually stay down and the gloves off.

You ask how does a car get t-boned on a drag strip? Well, he jumped out with a nice long smooth wheelie off the line and got a 2-3 car jump on the guy in the left lane. When the wheels came down, the car darted to the left headed straight for the left wall. The car in the left lane didn't see him in time and t-boned him. The drivers door was pushed in and the down bar on his 10 point cage had his leg pinned into the seat and had to be cut out.

Everyone has a different opinion on what a street car is, I guess Dan Millen is the real KOTS. throwback to 2006

Street car to me is more like this. He does have a helmet but no cage.
