guess my hp and 1/4 mile times
i know i know another guess my hp and 1/4 mile times, but i have to ask u guys.here is the run down on the car. 89 hatch 5-speed 3.55 gears no a/c,1.6 rockers,gt-40 heads ported, edelbrock intake,70mm tb, bbk cold air intake, bbk shorty headers h-pipe and flows, still has stock cam though
.also has sub frame connectors and some sort of upper and lower control arms dont know what brand. thanks guys.also any suggestions on a cam that would be good. i had a e-cam in my old fox and a n-41 liked the anderson cam better. car is going to be a weekend warrior and daily driven sometimes. |

your a ways off from 12's. Id say high 13's and that depends on what tires you are using and how much track experience you have.

I'm not trying to hurt your feelings just being realistic Horsepower 260-270 and at the track 14.40-14.80. prove me wrong.

Dont be mad if its slower than a 13.99 cause I wouldnt be surprised...The only REAL power gain you got there is the GT40 heads, and a little pep from the intake/headers...You realistically gained maybe 20-30HP with those mods...
Throw a 100-150 shot on there and you will knock down some 12's without a problem. TFS stage 1 or a small Anderson cam will wake it up quite a bit...

My 03 GT was a full weight car that made 282rwhp, 3900lbs race weight. With a full suspension and big sticky tires, skinnies up front the best I ever got out of that combo was a 13.2 and that was with a wicked 1.58 60' time, which is insane for that car being a 5-speed.

Just go to the track and run it and have fun, once you get a base line run then you can start working on lower it. I would rather have a proven 14 second car that I race at the track than have what I "think" is a 13 second car sitting in the stands.

that is true. i had a n-41 in my other fox i had it made decent power. i was going to go that route again but then i was thinking about the tfs1 cam also. ill just take it to the track and see what happens. i plan on swapping the 3.55s for 4.10s i bought the car the way it sits just curious what people would say and any suggestions.

How about a econo-suspension upgrade. 70/30 or adjustable strange struts, 4 cylinder front springs , 50/50 rear shocks and stock v-8 spring cut one coil and remove the sway bar at the track.

Strange adjustable strut are a great choice and add the 4 cylinder spring while you are there.
