NHRA Record Holder

I know this site doesnt have much to do with nhra class racing, but this past weekend I set the NHRA SS/E record in my 427 ford fairlane. It was a 9.65 by a hemi, but we set it friday at a 9.52. I elected not to tear down that day, because I knew it was faster...I made some changes and saturday evening I ran a 9.49... another ford in the record books!!!!!!!!

Stephen,

Your Fairlane is a 2x4 motor? What does a Thunderbolt fall into naturally SS/B?

I run both combo's, 2-4 and a 1-4. T-bolt is a natural B car but can run A,B,C

we can run any cam, any intake that is a stock configuration and fit under the stock hood. Heads can be ported but they have to retain a certain runner volume.

Fantastic! I think I saw you car at Nashville before. I use to run SS/H back in the day, till it got to expensive for someone with out a good sponsor.

Post up some pictures of it.

Good going.

I don't know which is better....Setting the record, or taking it away from a Mopar. LOL!

Congrats!

Congrats man. A friend of mine currently holds national records in stock and super stock. He has 2 85 mustang convertible stick cars. He holds the M and N records in Stock and Super Stock. I always enjoy watching stock and super stock cars run.

That's cool. They seal my motor and they elect to tear me down whenever they want, lol. That's why in B.G. '08 I was holding my piston in my hand at 10pm on saturday night. The motor was back in and running by 1:30am and I was out of the track at 2:00am and ready for round 1 at 9:00am on sunday. Doing work...
