Ridiculously long page load times

Anyone else experiencing this? I have the same issues on both PC, and on android mobile devices. I'll be in the middle of posting a response, and all the sudden it'll time out. Very frustrating. Also, just navigating the site takes forever because each page trying to load, then the advertisements loading, etc. Occasionally it won't stop loading the screen according to the browser tab at the top of the screen.

Hey gang,

Have you notice this happening after Saturday?
If you still come across this, please let us know what browser you are using, and approx. what time this occurs.

Thank you,

This has been happening for a few weeks now. Sometimes it gets better, today it's pretty bad. I'm currently using an android tablet and google chrome.

Even on the PC using either Chrome or IE it's still pretty slow.

Are you guys coming across the Error anymore?
Or is the slow down the only persistent issue right now?

Please provide as many details as you can.

Thank you,

Richard

When you load a page. In the bottom left hand corner, do you notice it waiting for anything specific?

Same issue here with ultra slow page loading. The ads take forever to load and slows the whole page. I pay extra for 40 meg and never have an issue until I come here. This is by far the slowest website I have ever encountered. I use Firefox currently but have tried everything. It's becoming very unpleasant to deal with this on a daily basis.
Thanks for listening.

Next time this issue occurs can you please add this information:

- time occurred )include time zone)
- any errors you are seeing (screen shot)
- URL of page it occurred in
- what task were you performing
- what browser and device you are using.

Thank you so much,

~ Glenda

Next time, if you are on a computer, run ad bock plus in chrome accompanied with ad muncher. both are free. Been browsing for almost ten years AD FREE. Cram all the ads you want on your page, doesn't bother me one bit. It speeds up my page load time as well. I haven't found anything that works this well for mobile yet, I also haven't looked.

Getting the below message and it never seems to go away.

"Waiting for api.viglink.com" at 7:56 AZ time using Firefox, Windows 10 and Adblocker Plus.

Page loads pretty quick but the wheel is a spinnin' in the upper left hand corner of screen along with the above message.

Another message currently after reloading page:

"Waiting for api.verticalscope.com"

When I click "Reply" and the page loads; there are no messages and page fully loads.

The page loads faster with Adblock Plus but still slow in comparison to any other site I view.

What page/section were you in when this appears? Was it specific or it happens randomly anywhere?

Glad to hear its loading quicker - that's progress at least. How long would you say (seconds) does each page take to load up? Every page or certain pages?

Let us know and we'll look into it - thanks!

Cheers,
Natalie

Just about one minute for any page to fully load. The only exception is when a "reply" page loads. It loads quickly.

Update: Today the reply page loads slowly showing "Waiting for api.vigilink.com"

Does anyone else notice the page hanging onto this ^ (vigilink) ? You ensured that you've cleared your cache and cookies already, right? Just checking.

Where did you see that it went down, was there an error message on a particular page? Is it still down for you? It's possible it may have been maintenance but we'll need to confirm first if this is still an issue.

Thanks for your patience guys,
Natalie

Just cleared cookies/cache and getting the following:

"Transferring data from www.google.com" at 3:12 AZ time.

Wheel still spinning with the message " Waiting for Facebook.com" now.

Page took a good minute to load.

OK thanks. I think we got enough to file a ticket now. We got the message, a time frame to check, and a browser to make sure we are recreating as close as possible to the same conditions. Getting the techs involved now.

That time, that's PM I assume?

Loaded page at 1:44 PM AZ time. Page took a good minute to load while getting this message:

"Transferring data from Google.com"

I then signed in and got the waiting for api.vigilink.com message. Page took one minute to load while waiting.

There is so much going on when this forum loads that my processor fan speeds up.

Hey,

Is there a particular section in the classifieds you notice it lagging on? I made a test post and it seemed fine. How long were you waiting?

The fact still remains that forum users should not have to use add ons and such to view a forum or any site in a timely matter.

Not everyone here is computer savvy to the point of figuring out faster ways to navigate this site.

I've tested this section with chrome and firefox, and again it seems fine. Can you take a screenshot of the error you're getting? Is there a particular time of the day you notice you're getting this error more?

Niall
